Short or No Hair, EASY Headwrap/Turban Tutorial (Chemo & Hair Loss Friendly)

Thank you so much! I ordered my scarves and they were delivered yesterday and after 4th chemo infusions this past Friday my hair began to fall out in patches. I normally wear my hair short and decided to Buzz it (my last decision about my hair) before chemo began. I thought losing my hair didn't matter, but became very emotional and couldn't figure out why. I finally realized that it's not only the hair, and as focal I've been about breast cancer, now my appearance would allow people to show pity and that is too much for me to bear. So thank you for helping me to protect myself mental health.

It looks awesome on you. When I went thru chemo, I said many times that I wished I knew how to do this. When your head is completely bare skin, it's quite hard to get things situated that won't just slide off, and I found a grip for that reason that was a silicone band all the way around. That was the most comfortable way to get a wig to feel stable, and I think it would work with these wraps also. Thank you for sharing. I'd love to see some of these tutorials posted on chemo sites for patients to view.

what grip did you use? i'm currently going through chemo and my head is COMPLETELY bald. I tried to do this style but the leggings keep sliding off my head.

@@asum66 the one I used was a simple silicone band (about an inch wide) with a velcro strip to attach for size, that I ordered thru a wig catalog. It was the only thing I found that could stick to bare skin and be comfortable.

When young I modeled and liked different wigs my mum said if some ignorant person asked "is that your hair" , feel free to say yes- as you bought and paid for it, it's yours.

I cover my hair... well my crown chakra, and my hair, I also don't use any human hair or synthetic hair, I just believe this is our antennas and we need to wrap it accordingly. I really hope if anybody is reading this comment right now please don't ever use a black headscarf. black absorbs energy, heat, Sun. try to stay within the color palette of your chakras and which chakras you want to open that day. if you feel like you want to repel everybody and just protect your own please wear white not black. just another way the government has stifled everyone in their spiritual journey. when I had my locked in synthetic dreads, that's when I went on my spiritual hair journey and learning everything from ancient Africa and how they originated, that's when I decided to cut off the synthetic dreads that were so heavy, and now I'm waiting to get my real hair dreaded but that's a process. with all that weight though wrapping it up on top of my head was so much easier for weight distribution. and I'm so sorry but I'm so pissed at society and the government for stifling indigenous people and yes that also includes highly melanated humans 😉 the fact of the matter is is that black women in my opinion are the most spiritual beings, and they are the most stifled. you shouldn't be jealous or envy the black community, we are all supposed to be connected together and learn from everyone. don't let society keep us in our boxes, we all must transcend to our true divinity, spread love and light

Yeah. I have heat sweats WAAAAAAAY too much for that. That would be too heavy on my head naked or not . I have been having these heat sweats for 23 years and even more after my hysterectomy in 2005. ladies and it's all personal preference but do not let people touch your hair and do not let people touch your head wrap, you do not know what intentions they have when they are braiding your hair touching your hair or touching your head wrap. that can trap unnecessary energy on to you
