What is an efficient ratio of distillate to residues for your final short path run? Does thc% and ethonal dillution factors have a correlation to final %yeilds? Can this be theoretically calculated with prior data mathematically?

Columbia 350 Flying Videos yes i have now really stinky dark crude oil of 43% thc how much is the lost in of the product if i run it thrue the machine and will it turn out higher in thc content? And do i loose the bad earthy smell?

Rob van Gils To clean up your oil via distillation, 50% recovery is typical. The loss is composed of terpenes (about 10-20%) and the rest is waste. Potency is increased to 85-95%. Please contact me at paul AT varinscience DOT com for more info. Thanks Rob

Can this process be used in producing MCT Oil? Extracting fatty acids from Crude Coconut Oil as a raw material

No. MCT comes from splitting the triclycerides from coconut or palm kernel oil into fatty acids and glycerol. The medium chain fatty acids, mainly caprilic and capric, are esterified with glycerol to form MCTs.

Iris, rotary evaporators are much simpler devices which are typically used to remove solvents

doesn´t matter what material you use in the feedstock, the principle remains the same, also there aren´t many types of distillation, 1. normal distillation 2. vacuum distillation. 3. rotary evaporation 4. wiped film evaporator 5. fractional distillation 6. steam distillation 7. short path distillation

@@Humbulla93 That's right. However, the structure of the rotary evaporator is simpler. The process of short - path molecular distillation is a bit more complex, but the purity can reach 99.9%.
