This bass is played through a Fender Rumble 100 watt 12” V3 with the eq set to flat.
This is a short scale (30”) fretless bass.
The top os book-matched Black Walnut, the back is a single piece of Sapele ( Thisbis a cousin of mahogany, but much stronger). The fretboard is Wenge with white fretlines and white side dots. The inlay on the fretboard is real Turquoise.
I’ve had a lot of questions about harmonics and how they sound on a chambered bass.
First let me explain how these basses are made. My basses are chambered within 1/4” of the top and back. The pickups and bridge are set on a solid block, creating center mass and reducing feedback and the guitar is chambered around these cavities.
The harmonics are awesome. I did my best to emulate this. Really clear long sustain.
