This guy Paul Vunak is the real deal. A legend for what he has accomplished in Martial Arts, Many people who I have trained with always speak highly of him. I as well had earned a couple of Black Belts in traditional styles, starting training in Filipino arts, and My buddy called me and said, This guy is coming to Sacremento to do a seminar about Jiu Jitsu about in 1992? I would say, So a couple of us treked down to roll with Carlos Gracie and I became hooked. trained with several Gracies as well as the Machados. What a package to continue the art of learning Martial Arts. You Mr. Vunak have been one of my stand outs in Martial Arts.

Paul is the best teacher of any subject I've encountered. Whether their subject is practical or theoretical, many teachers could benefit from the Vunakular.

I had a chance to train with Paul several times in the early 2000s. I found him to be an amazing martial artist. He is a very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. If you get a chance to train with him I wouldn’t miss the opportunity. Thank you for the interview.

Paul vunak is a probably one of the most interesting people I've met. He's patient and he's gentle, he's not big on the ego, or trying to be an authority. If you didn't know who he was, and you talked with him about fighting, you wouldn't be talking with a man who pretends he knows it all, and has an answer for everything, he's got allot of humility thats only surpassed by his knowledge. He's probably forgotten more about the martial arts than anyone else ive met will ever know. Glad to see him alive and well.

Paul Vunak made some of the best fighting instructions ever. Happy to see that he is still around and discovering his charitable side. Hope he's doing well...

I'm adopting your style, Paul. My core style is Shotokan coupled with some Goju Ryu, Wing Chun, pressure point combat/joint locks, and Krav Maga. But I'm not shy about biting. Because I have ugly teeth, I don't give a shit. I'll use my fuckin' teeth if I have to.

Btw, even with those things I shared, to be honest, I'm an underdog. I have no bragging rights at all.
