The BIVS (British-Irish Visa Scheme) and SSVWP (Super-Sponsored Visit Visa Pilot) are distinct in their purpose, scope, and eligibility criteria. Here's a comparison of the two: 1. BIVS (British-Irish Visa Scheme): Purpose: The BIVS allows eligible travelers to visit both the UK and Ireland on a single visa. Eligibility: It primarily applies to citizens from specific countries, like India and China. Scope: With a BIVS-endorsed visa, a visitor can travel between the UK and Ireland without needing separate visas for each country. Type of Visa: It is typically applicable to short-stay visas, such as those for tourism or business. Collaboration: It is a joint initiative between the UK and Irish governments to facilitate travel between the two countries. 2. SSVWP (Super-Sponsored Visit Visa Pilot): Purpose: The SSVWP was a pilot scheme designed to allow certain individuals to visit the UK, typically sponsored by a trusted organization or individual. Eligibility: It was intended for visitors who had a sponsor, such as a recognized organization, which guaranteed their visit to the UK. Scope: The scheme focused on ensuring that visitors had a clear purpose for their visit, supported by a sponsor, reducing the risk of overstaying. Type of Visa: It was generally used for short-term visits, often for specific purposes like business or educational events. Status: The SSVWP was a pilot scheme, meaning it was tested for a limited time and for specific categories of visitors. This scheme is no longer in active use and has evolved or been replaced by other visa categories. Key Differences: Geographic Scope: BIVS covers both the UK and Ireland, while SSVWP was specific to the UK. Visa Type: BIVS applies to standard short-stay visas, while SSVWP was a specific pilot scheme with sponsorship requirements. Current Status: BIVS is an active scheme, whereas SSVWP was a temporary pilot program and is no longer in use. These two schemes served different purposes and catered to different types of travelers, with the BIVS being broader in scope and the SSVWP being more specialized and limited.

Hi! May I just ask.. I will stay in the UK for a few days first (leisure) then go to Ireland. Now can I enter Ireland using that Visa for work purposes? For example I will just have a 4 days meeting at the company based in Ireland, would that be possible or I still need to obtain a working visa for Ireland? Thank you in advance
