Serena, I can’t believe that you hadn’t tried Short Story Box before now! I have received about 14 or 15 boxes from them so far! I am 66 and 4’11. Because of the 25.00 styling fee I usually keep at least one item. My last box I kept that same black Muse petite top. In fact I wore it to work yesterday! So soft and comfortable! In another box from them I kept the white dotted top that you got. I thought it was pricey but I liked the length of the sleeves and thought it would be easy to pair with lots of other things. It is, as always, fun to see another video from you! The other petite box I do is Petite Ave. Have a great rest of your week!

I love the black and white skirt with the black sweater, so cute and looks great on you. Do not care for the blue shell with dots. I love the white top with puff sleeves and black dots, so cute. It is a little pricey for the type of top it is. The dress is really cute.

My favorite was the 1st skirt and black top. The dress looked better on you than expected. You’re right about the sizing- a small?, probably a male designer-men’s sizing is so standardized.

Love the first outfit. I love that skirt. It's so hard to find a decent skirt these days. I am 5'3 but petite pants are too short on me also. I am short waisted also. I loved the dress, the fit was beauriful. I liked the last top but thought it was pricey for being so plain. Congrats on getting a sponsored box. You deserve it!

Hi Serene, I just wanted to let you know how wonderful I think you are doing. I’m so glad you finally got a Short Story Box with a sponsor, woo hoo!!! Hopefully they will improve when they learn your style. 🤭. Anyway, I wanted to tell you a trick I saw Laura at Little Box of Happy do with her V-Neck string ties. She ties them at the main bottom of the V and you can barely see them. You may already know this, but I love the trick, it opens up the neckline. Congratulations on the great success!!!!

I loved the first outfit. The sleeve length on the sweater was perfect. I liked the other two tops, but even in Alabama, they seemed to be more for spring/summer weather. I work in an office and I wouldn't wear those this time of year. The dress fit you perfectly. I've never heard of this subscription. Thank you for introducing it to us. At 5 foot (exactly), my biggest problem is length in pants and long sleeves, even with petites I find in my stores around town.

The petite selection in stores is awful and if you can find anything, it looks like it’s made for 80 yr old women! Stores that have petite selections like WHBM & Loft & Old Navy often don’t have them in store, you have to order online. It’s so frustrating! I say give this box a try. 😊

Hi Serena...you look adorable in that first outfit...love the top. I too, am 5'2" but can not wear petite pants....they cut me off in the crotch...lol. I don't think I have longer legs, but have never been able to do petite, but in jeans sometimes can do short lengths. The dress is super pretty. Mt mother in law was a seamstress and she was the first to tell me why my dresses did not fit me. I, too, can do some petite dresses. I just have so many and don't wear them much anymore, unless is is a wedding or funeral. Thanks Serena 😊

I like petite tops because of the arm length but I don’t love petite pants. The rise is usually too short, length might be okay but I hate clothes grabbing my bits in the Netherlands. Loved the dress

I’m with you on this….as I’m petite too with a short torso….I’m 5ft and a smidgen😂. I really liked the skirt, it’s the perfect fit and the dress is too, what a difference it makes when the size ratio is right👍

I use Short Story and Petite Avenue. It's so hard to find petite clothing, and it is all I will buy, as nothing else fits properly. I'm 5'1", also short waisted, but with long legs, and where there used to be dedicated petite clothing stores, there don't appear to be any left. There are lots of plus sized stores, but petites can be plus sized too - it's proportion not size. I had often wondered why you didn't get petite clothing, as the fit is so much better. What you got in this box is much nicer than what I received in my last box - returned it all, although I have kept things in the past.

I am a senior citizen and over 65. Retired from work now so I prefer very casual clothes. I am about 5' 1" or maybe 5' 1 1/2 " on a good day. So many clothes are not for me. Dresses are a nightmare. I am short waisted, narrow shoulders and dresses (even if petite) are too long in the sleeve (always if it is long-sleeved, falls down below the wrist.) Pants always too long. I only like high-waisted pants. Or if not too long, don't fit in the waist, especially if it is with zipper. I do love jeans but so hard to find one that fits right. Most of the prices of clothes in the box you got is too expensive for me. I am on a fixed income by myself. Don't even have a car and take buses to get around. Sometimes I can find tops that fit that are short sleeved, on sale at Target or Wal-Mart for (around $12.00 to $15.00), but pants all too long. Teen sizes are too narrow in the hips and waist. If I won the big lotto, I would hire a personal tailor to make everything for me. Never won more then a few dollars on Lotto so only buy an occasional ticket for a $1.00 or two. 😥

It sounded like your height, or lack thereof, cones from being short through the torso. If so, this would completely explain why petite pants can be too short on you. Maybe they should make petite long? 🤔

I tend to do better with regular pants in “short” length if I can find them rather than petite pants.

I wonder if because you are short but maybe you have long legs?? You look like me sorta.. you are smaller but I’m 52 and very short waisted but I have shirt legs too unfortunately! I’ve lost 47 lbs so now I’m almost in an 8 but still can wear a 10 in bottoms but tops I wear small to meduim.. and mostly petite dits better..

Cute clothes, except for the pants. I'm just over 5'2". Short waisted and long legs. Can never get petite in pants. Also not a fan of front pleats on pants. The black sweater in 1st outfit was so cute, liked the whole look. The shirts really fit you well. Great video as always 😊

Same with petite pants, they are always too tight in the crotch, which is no bueno. I like regular sized pants that are short in length.

Me too. That tends to fit me best. I’m “weird” in that I have long legs for a petite person so petite pants are almost always too short on me.

@@StylewithSerena unique, not weird! I'm an inch shorter than you, well my son says I'm barely five feet tall but he's a tease, and I'm not really petite in any measurements, my bone structure is a smidge over petite into small, o,n a recent analysis and I'm long waisted. So we are both unique!

I have the same figure as you, I am short, but not petite in pants. Dresses and tops work, and stretchy stuff. Jeans and tailored pants in petite do not work for me.
