Toba tek singh is a short story written by the exemplary writer Saddat Hassan Manto, the story was originally written in Urudu. The story revolves around the time period of newly independent India and Pakistan, where in a mental hospital at lahore the inmates discuss on the partition. The story tries to cover the aspects of religious tensions, unethical and destructive aspect of partition through the eyes of a mentally ill person.
