I knows that the Bishop V2 cartridges are amazing. They have less wabble than your average cartridge. This is similar to using a diamond tipped tube, I use to always use them for fine line work in my traditional machines. I think that is all in the make of the cartridge, I know Bishop does lots of R&D for everything they put out. Thank you guys for the great content

Any of ya try Noxema in place of soap? When you're ready to wipe, rub on some Noxema and wipe it. Mess comes right off and it cools the skin and you get a good photo at the end. Less redness. Seems like any minty product takes redness out. I use Bronners peppermint soap too

I found the opposite in stroke profiles for lining. I use halo 2 3.4mm cam with trad needles. Same philosophy applies when tuning coils. So how come we tuned coils for lining with short stroke? More hits per second. Right ? So why does that change for rotaries? Now it’s the opposite?

I am a little bit confused 130 cps with a 4.0 stroke. Or 130 cps with a 3.2 stroke. Seems to me that both stroke cycles are done in the same time 130 CPS
@needledrag4 жыл бұрын
Yeah me too... So does that mean if they have the same cps but one has a shorter distance to travel, that the time the needle spends in the skin is increased?
@dominicrivera51414 жыл бұрын
short stroke is low and steady, hard to interrupt. long stroke is snappy and fast moving. long stroke is a faster moving needle at the same cps. put 2 dots on a circle at different measures from the edge and spin it, it'll simplify things
@BaldR684 жыл бұрын
dominic Rivera that’s not what i am confused About.
@The_Golem_784 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure they'd both be doing the same thing at the same cps. The only difference being that the longer stroke has farther to travel, resulting in a "punchier" hit, and according to Ty, picking up more ink when retracted and therefore depositing more when fully extended. (his observations) At 130cps, they're essentially doing the same thing. You'll need to set your needle depth while the machine is running to have the same amount of needle hanging out of the tip at the end of the stroke regardless of stroke length, but since the longer stroke has farther to travel and is more efficient at packing, I'm guessing it'd be more advisable to run it at a speed that's comfortable for YOU and YOUR hand speed to get your desired results and forget about exactly how many cps you're running at. Did that answer your question? Not sure if I read your question correctly.

Neuma 4 was a game changer for me. I decided it only made sense to buy the lowest price option because you will only be using the one cam at a time. If you are interested in buying, and are on a budget keep that in mind. Go straight for the 20% and try it as a liner first. That and make sure to get a battery pack for it. The Neuma 4 is effortless.
@sendlocation84763 жыл бұрын
Neuma sucks. All hype. Nobody uses it besides his sponsors. Been out since 2019 I think and they don’t have much customers and users. Saturation sucks. They like the lining because they putting a grip which is 100gram extra or more. Of course you going to line better cause the weight, not the machine. Put that weight on other rotaries and it prob be the same. Also Rework touch ups needed after tattooing. All hype. Pretty sad how much it talked up but no one uses it rofl go look at their community small as for all the hype they make it seem

please do a video on the cleaning sponges and mabye show us how you use bactine one in the shop i work at use it im not exactly sure what the benefits are thanks fireside
@The_Golem_784 жыл бұрын
WTF are cleaning sponges? Bactine is used for clients that have a hard time with the pain. It has lidocaine in it and is used as a topical anesthetic to relieve the pain. ONLY when the skin is already broken, so won't do much at all for linework. Sounds like you need an apprenticeship.
@dominicrivera51414 жыл бұрын
long stroke = faster moving due to the fact that it covers a greater distance in the same amount of time. hard hit but very little time in the skin. it also "bogs" some motors.
@thomaskwan32514 жыл бұрын
Its actually stays in the skin a shorter amount of time due to the fact The actual travel in the rotation that the skin accounts for is only 1mm so 1mm out of 4mm is 25% of the time in the skin and the rest out. And say you have a 2.6mm cam the needle is in the skin more than 50% of the time. Either explain yourself more clearly or don't spread misinformation.

may i ask how do u compare the bishop wand vs the neuma4? especially in the thin lines area?
@FiresideTattooNetwork2 жыл бұрын
I only own the Bishop Wand Shader so that's all I can speak to. The Neuma is a much punchier machine overall. The ergonomics are similar. The wand runs much more quietly if thats a concern of yours. The neuma with the 28% cam will give a similar result to the wand shader in my experience. Hope that helpa

I own both the neuma 4 is a great liner a great shader and great color packer .....the dan kubin sidewinder v7 is a good. AAAAAAAND wrong in first 2minutes. 1) No, shorter stroke doesnt mean it will do more hits second. With 120rps you will get 120hits per second no matter if you have 1mm cam or 10mm cam. Imagine bike wheel. Towards the centre its your short stroke and where your tire is is your long stroke. Both points will spin, will close the circle in the same time but longer stroke have more distance to clear but in the same time so actually longer stroke travels faster. Its velocity is higher but frequency of a hit is exactly the same.
@marciomonteiro96533 жыл бұрын
how does a long stroke travel faster if you run it at the same voltage as the short stroke? by logic, on the bike wheel they both has the same 120 rps but (assuming the same hand speed) the shorter stroke will have more hits as it takes less time to travel (less time means that is faster) many tattoo artists say, the longer the stroke the better for lining, but jason ramos on his video trying the corn rotary machine (is all in Spanish) actually says the opposite. which in my opinion makes more sense. No criticizing, just trying to understand it clear
@bartekkucharski38803 жыл бұрын
@@marciomonteiro9653 No problem. Its easy to test it yourself. Take a bike, mark one of the spokes in colour. Now slowly spin it. Both points with travel different distance in the same time. Both points are fixed to eachother so inner point cant do more revolutions that the other. Both point will do the very same RPM but velocity of them points are different. To make it linear. Take two runners. One on 100meter track another on 500meter. Both have 30seconds to finish. First one can slowly jog while second one must properly run. Joshua Bowers, rotary machine builder will confirm it.
