I like the scarlet tanager that’s flamboyantly yellow and red.

He’s beautiful. I think he should be solid red by now, but he’s holding onto that patchy look.

Congrats on 2K! The first video I ever watched was your diy pond. I said it inspired me. Well, this morning I completed my own pond! Well, not a pond per se but a bird bath with pea pebbles, perching stones, and a little fountain. I have it outside my front storm door so I can watch my feathered friends without a camera. One day I’ll attempt something like you have but for now I’m pleased. Thank you for the inspiration!

Yay! Another bird spa for the birdies 🙂 I hope it brings much enjoyment to you and your birds! And thanks about the 2K subscribers. That happened pretty fast!

I took a birding walk outside New Orleans on Monday. Saw lots of birds and heard many more, using Merlin to id Painted Buntings, Red-eyed and White-eyed Vireos, Waterthrush, and Peewee. The Coolest Thing was hearing but not seeing a voice I knew, THANKS to you, Warbler Ridge!!...the big "hiccup" of the Summer Tanager! Then Merlin confirmed what I heard. I knew that lesson would come in handy! ❤😊

Yay! It sounds like you had a great walk. And isn’t it satisfying to recognize a bird like that?

I do so hope the little chirpies stay the summer! Beautiful color on the birds, the jay is spectacular. Even the "plain" color birds are great. Very interesting to watch. Thank you.

Thank you and welcome to the channel! There’s a new video posted each Sunday at 6 am eastern time. There are a few other folks here who say they watch the videos with their grandchildren. I love that!

The titmouse at the end was extra fastidious having a bath "and" a shower. I've seen the sparrows really get a bad rap because of the overly abundant house sparrows that overwhelm folks backyard feeders. But I love the sparrows. I hadn't realized how many varieties there actually are til I really studied them in my bird bird some time ago. I have the most delightful little white crowned sparrow that returns every year. I've not identified the female but the male makes me smile every time I see him. The wrens are another favorite that I'm lucky to catch one or two sightings of each year. The bird song here has just been just prolific lately. I open the windows and door and just listen all day to the symphony. 😍 Have a lovely week!! 🥰🌿♥️

The little native sparrows are great birds. I just get the chipping and occasionally field sparrows in the summer. Song and White-throated and occasionally the Fox Sparrow in the winter. Not House Sparrows here yet. Im very careful about the type and amount of bird seed I put out, because I really do not want to attract them. I love hearing the birds singing, too. And thanks to practicing with the Merlin app, I’m starting to be able to identify who is singing. So much fun! Thanks for watching and have a great day!

Thank you! I hope you will tell us where the Carolina wrens are nesting this year.
@WarblerRidge3 ай бұрын
They’ve built two nests on my porch so far. The first was on a shelf right next to my side door. They fledged several babies from that one. And then they moved to a different spot where I had hung a basket on the wall, hoping they would use that. I haven’t been filming them because anytime I go near where the nest is, the female gets startled and flies off.

Late watching this one. We had a death in the family, our 15 yr old Sheltie/Border collie cross, he suffered a stroke late Friday, and so we were taking care of him all weekend. He's gone now, but he died at home peacefully. I loved the birds in this video, especially the Titmouse in the rain! I haven't been able to build my own stream/waterfall yet, I need to find the right stones/rocks, but my partner and I are so looking forward to it! And yet, I know, once it's built, I will still watch your videos. Thanks again so much for sharing.

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I’m sure he had a very good life with you and your family. I’m glad to hear the planning for your bird pond are progressing. Everybody needs a bird spa 🙂

I love bluebirds, not Wrens But I quit feeding the birds because all it does is make rodents come out of the woodwork.
@WarblerRidge2 ай бұрын
How could anyone not like Carolina Wrens? 😕 True about the rodents. But you don’t need to provide bird seed to feed the birds. Most birds, including bluebirds, don’t eat birdseed. Birds need bugs. Plant a tree and don’t use pesticides. Those are probably the two best things anyone can do for birds. Thanks for watching and have a great (wren-free 😆) day.
