The only forest school in my state (I live in southern USA) is a parent led one where we all meet up with the kids and let them play at different meeting spots in the woods, which it’s amazing it a lot of ways, that’s how I played as a kid, but it would be amazing to have trained people who have all of this put into each meet up, they could get so much more out of it! People look at me like I’m crazy when I mention forest school, so it isn’t something that will be catching on here quite yet, but hopefully one day!

Thank you so much for the wonderful video. I'm curious if you have resources on working with groups 11-16 years old. Thank you.

Thanks Joanna, glad you are finding the videos useful. A couple of people have asked about older groups so I will be making a video soon about working with teenagers. Is there anything in particular you would like to know? Wishing you happy times in the woods!

@@ForestSchoolLou Thank you, Lou. I'm excited to hear you'll be making videos about working with older kids! All of the resources I've come across are centered around loose parts and forest play with young children and I'm really curious about how to seed the same type of engagement and play with older kids who have not been exposed to the environment. For example, what kind of provocation can we consider and how do we plan behind the scenes to elevate their learning from the experience so we can grow with them. Much appreciated for your consideration!

@@Joanna-dz2jl Thanks Joanna, I'll try to work some of that into one of the vids coming up soon!

dear Lou, you are such an inspiration. Your attitude is very welcoming and so soft. It was a pleasure to study from your experience. I'm a gardening teacher , I'have been asked to start and plane a forest class. your video is so interesting and helpful. I would love to learn so much more from you! If it's passible I would like to kindly ask for the sheet's format in a word file. Only if you feel comfortable to share it this way. Never the less thank you so much!

Hi. I'm loving your videos to rejuivinate my practice. I know this is the point of FS but I think there is still nuance - possible video idea: differentiation in FS. Im thinking of how we can offer specific opportunities to participants that tease out their personal development. Thanks
