Short Track Racing Full Race: Caraway Speedway Lady U-Cars (6/29/24)

On 6/29/24 #CarawaySpeedway saw the return of the Lady U-Cars! The Division was a hit in the mid 00’s with many ladies from all walks of life coming to live the racing dream! 2024 sees the return of the historic and fan favorite division!
Race Summary: The ladies of The Collins Family would show up in full force fielding 3 of the 5 cars in the field! The Front Row would consist of #2 Lisa Collins and #9 Cassie Smith. Lisa Collins and Cassie Smith would be the early stars of the show leading the field and making contact all around the race track! Further back in the field #11 Miss Caraway Shea Vance would find herself fighting not only her car but the #3 of Sarah Collins as well. Lap 6 saw the only caution of the race as the leaders #2 Lisa Collins and #9 Cassie Smith would make contact sliding #2 of Collins into the wall and sending #9 of Smith around. This would set up #0 Erica Collins the youngest of The Collins Family contenders as the leader! On the restart #9 of Cassie Smith would pull down pit row ending her night. In the end The Collins Family takes all 3 top spots with #0 Erica Collins taking home the win at Caraway!

Fun Fact: My own mom Candace Barnhart (FKA Forrest) raced at Caraway Speedway in the original Lady U-Car Division. Between 2006-2008, she took her #1 Fitness Factory Ford to 2 wins and claimed 2nd and 3rd in points in those respective seasons!
