Short Track Racing Highlights: Caraway Speedway Challenger Division (6/15/24)

On 6/15/24 12 Challenger cars made their way to Caraway Speedway to do battle. The field included NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series Star Thad Moffit behind the wheel of the #15. Also the Ledbetter family showed up in full force as the father son tandem of Gary and Dalton hope to come home 1st and 2nd.
Race Summary: The race saw #1 Justin Hathcock and #15 Thad Moffit on the front row to lead the field to green. The #1 of Hathcock would take the early lead and over half of the race. After a debris caution would come out on Lap 27. On the restart #88 McKyla Spinks would go around in turn 1 after hitting fluid on the track. On the next restart #15 Thad Moffit missed a shift and almost caused a stack up. On Lap 30 #32 Dalton Ledbetter caught the leader #1 Justin Hathcock and sent him around in turn 1. On the restart in turns 3 & 4 #32 Dalton Ledbetter sent #19 Blake Cox around collecting #13 Todd Garren. #5 Isaac Johnson hit the inside wall trying to avoid the incident. The #32 of Ledbetter would be parked for rough driving. That didn’t stop his father #70 Gary Ledbetter from going to victory lane as he wins once again in 2024!
