just to clear things up, im a motorsport technician and have a degree in motorsport so i know what im talking about. valve bounce is when the valves do not stay in contact with the camshaft lobe and valve bounce is when the valve doesnt stay in the valve seat at high RPM because of inertia forces. thanks for your time

you said valve bounce twice lol

Springs with lots of miles. 100k it’s time to change. Plus.,, if your cam is bigger than the spring rate and lift or heavier rockers. They will be bacstroking to Cuba

Barely and question would be at what rpm was engine vs what spring was created ... I can bet that this spring was operated way higher than manufacture recommended.... theses likkle infos are very important. Likely this was a test by manufactory to know the point of float ... result valve float at 8000 rpm we will limit engine to 6500rpm. ... so no need to rush sn upgrade with our minimal increase in rpm

these are mock up situations, would the harmonics be different in a complete running engine?

Blowby by valve guides would straighten it up a little valve woble? Combustion Chamber turbulence at tulips could worsen it up ... That's the only difference I could envision.

Thats not valve float, that's spring surge.

If this could be a GSR head,...how much CFM are you working with? So an intake ported B16 should flow approximately @ 235cfm,..that depends upon cam profile as well. On Honda engines it takes 2.5 cfm's to make 1hp.
@TheJesicamiguel7 жыл бұрын
so how can you fix that?

Stiffer spring but in the cost of increasing power required to open the valve

Jude Lau how about replacing new spring regularly, instead using stiffer spring?
