in the original edition of D&D they were dog-people but that was changed to draconic in the next edition and all the ones that came after :)

Kobolds are considered dog girls in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. D&D is not a good source for monster girls. I only use the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. Nothing else will do.
