FS a joke by the editor, but if you watch Alex, he seems like it's the end of the day, and he's exhausted and ready to leave pretty much the whole video, which is why I'm assuming when he grabbed the instructions saying he wanted it done now. I feel like Alex just messed up, but the editors played it off well. All in all though, I could be wrong about the whole thing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They loaded the tiny SFX PSU to 80%, I don't consider that safe or reliable. That's not something any PC build should ever do, let alone a SFX build. That's plain user error, it should be around the 50% PSU utilization range, but since SFX PSUs only go to 750W that would be impossible. This system will have a significantly increased chance of damage related to power delivery, which means the PSU could kill everything in the case. Plus not everyone lives in places with low ambient temperatures which makes these build choices even worse.

I really wish they'd do this with more of their cases! Instead of buying just a chassis, offering a barebones option like this for more cases would be great. Even if it doesn't cater to EVERYONE'S build, it would be an amazing option for casual, entry-level, and other PC buyers in the current market.

That GPU exhaust fan is a massive upgrade for that case. The lack of airflow in the GPU compartment was the reason I did not get an original H1 when I built my SFF PC a year and a half ago.

Nice build alright. Good vid Alex. Speaking of fires maybe you guys could make a vid about best practices for fire mitigation, best surge protectors, extinguishers, your studio and home fire protection, etc. A lot of us tech geeks have tons of old and new gadgets and computers plugged in around the house so I'd be interested to hear your take. Obviously good quality power strips are a good start so maybe you could test cheap ones against expensive ones. Try not to electrocute Linus :p

Holy shit that thing is loud! Normally, when they talk about how noisy something is, I can't even hear it because of how good of a job their sound engineers do isolating the host's voice, but here, the noise was very audible.

The more I look at this case the more I want to build a computer in it. It's expensive but with all the parts they include, this thing has to be one of the best "starter" SFFPC cases on the market. Really slick.

They are also good for heating up your room, and house, and reducing it all to a smoldering pile of ash. Clean brand that stands up to expectations my arse, normal people have the expectation a product won't catch on fire and if for some reason there is an issue creating a potential fire hazard that the company will do the right thing and fix it immediately without being forced to after being called out by a news outlet instead of pussyfooting around the issue like NZXT did. Seriously screw NZXT.

I have the generation 1 H1. It's pretty alright, but I had to make some mods to the case to fit my 3070. Sure, it fits, but man, once it is in, you're not taking it out. Much less taking the top cover on/off without scratching the GPU. I'm glad they added more space to the GPU, which is mostly done by moving the power button and front IO out of the GPU side. Overall, much needed improvement, but I'm still not super happy about the front glass not having holes. Do yourself a favor and get a custom vented from panel.

I love that the DP cable issue was pointed out, because there isn't enough room for any good DP1.4 cable, and using a 90 degree adapter ruins signal integrity when you need the bandwidth.

You could also look at the Phanteks Evolve Shift 2, I really fell in love with that case. The only downside is you can't use an AIO because the way it would be build into it would damage the pump.

Just got the old H1 for 180€... Reached out to Nzxt to get the new riser, that it dont catch fire xD Then screwed 2 140mm rgb Arctic fans on the back and one on the AIO and now this thing glows from the back and is whisper quiet. For that price it is a steal IMO. Case + Cooler + Powersupply for 180€ is a good deal

I have the v1 case and I love it, I take it around to my mates every weekend for our weekly LAN party and it’s so easy to move around. Little annoying having the single USB on the top but I love it. Paid $600NZD and it’s so worth it

Yes, please read the manual :P A creator I will not name built in a special case and they had a bit of a struggle as it was tight, but they hadn't read the manual, so didn't know they were supposed to take out the inner cage to build it, then put the whole thing back into the shell... Great showcase for a special case :P

Maybe try to 3d print some 24pin atx tool or something. Handle like vegetable peeler and end it with 24pin tip to hold it. Add some pivot/axle with little gears.

On my H1, I just velcroed a USB hub against the frame for easier access to the stuff I needed to plug in. Easier than constantly flipping it on its side.

I really want to like this case, I like the approach, I like what it includes, how it looks, the nice touches that make building easier and yes, no more fires is a very good thing. I genuinely do not understand why the usability of this case design gets glossed over so much. There is absolutely no way I want to be tipping this thing over every time I want to be plugging / unplugging something. Why can we not have the included components of this case with the motherboard I/O in the conventional place?

Missed covering the most important part. The warning sticker on the front will always leave a paper residue and takes forever to get off. Plus the fact they put it BEHIND THE PLASTIC WRAP INSTEAD OF ON TOP WHERE IT COULD JUST PEEL OFF

Bought one for $200 back in December including tax which was a great deal IMO lol only thing I had to do was add 2 back fans to move air out AND replace the 140mm for a Noctua which reduce the noise

My H1 has an Intel 10400 and an RTX 3070 Vision which runs at 29-34C and my GPU around 45C because I had the Montech Air Fan P120, 120mm Fan 2 pack which work great and lower my temps but ended up getting 2 Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM because of the slim size

If the case is properly grounded by metal to metal contact anywhere it shouldn’t build up any significant voltage.

Glass should be an excellent isolator. And the case is grounded anyway. You can just shut it off if you're worried though

Got it with an 5800x and 3070ti, playing at max settings all games with WQHD works pretty fine in the V1, bit disappointed as if I could waited like half a year could get a 3080ti in it but it is what it is. Good work NZXT! :)

Fractal Design did a lot of a better job with their fire hazard issue in the Torrent than NZXT, fractal recalled it really quickly, while NZXT was too busy meming it up on Twitter to deal with the fires. NZXT will have to do a lot more to regain people’s trust But even I have to admit if it wasn’t for the riser cable Kürf**kel, this would’ve been one of the best super compact computer cases! The fact you csn fit a full sized GPU and 2 2.5 SDD in that is AWSOME!

GSkilz probably loves all the free love LTT gives those sticks. They are so over the top, but for the purpose of a build like this. There's really no reason to not use them.
