Man thanks for educating me on how to shorten a chain. When I was little my dad replaced my chain and didn't use a chain breaker. I couldn't remember how he did it. Now I know. You have a real smart little tool helper in training. You can tell you're a good dad. Thanks again.

It works. You can also try pumpkin seeds, or any other seeds that you can spit with specific sound. Dependimg on the type of seed used, the chain will have different strength. Try 2-3 types of seed and decide which is the best for you chain type

Hi Bud you put the master link locking pin on backwards the closed side should run in the same direction as the wheel does
@chud3278 жыл бұрын
+Oiram Nojertsac What do you mean by the closed side? Thanks for the comment.
@Kaelan5147 жыл бұрын
he means the side without the gap on the masterlink should be facing the opposite direction from the wheel rotation. If the Wheel goes forwards, the masterlink clip faces the other way :)

@jsmith18992 жыл бұрын
This is NOT a good solution for replacing a bike chain. It worked for me, but if you test the next link or two up the chain from where it has been broken, it will not fall under the weight of gravity anymore. That is, if you hold the chain up horizontally the first link still on the chain after breaking will not fall under the weight of gravity anymore as the others do. This link will cause a little bit more friction and will cause more resistance when you ride making it a bit more difficult. If you have a bike that is not that good it should not matter too much, but if you have an ok bike and want to go quick it will slow you down just that very small amount.
