A Warner and a McKenna. Honestly. The son of the late Sir Bruce Warner(Ken Blackburn) and the daughter of Shortland Street's first ever CEO the late Dr Michael McKenna(Paul Gittins). I never thought that a Warner would ever have feelings for a McKenna. But Rachel is Michael's daughter after all and Chris is the son of the ruthless Sir Bruce. So yeah. Anyway back in the early days of Shortland Street. A Warner did hook up with a Warner. If you think about Rachel's late father Dr Michael McKenna and Chris's late mother Lady Margot Warner during their respective times attending AA meetings. Don't know why Dr McKenna was attending an AA meeting. But Lady Margot was attending an AA meeting for her being an alcoholic drunk all the time. Rachel is a recovering alcoholic. And she could very easily fall off the wagon and drink again.
