Crescent, its a brand. However, even then its a genericization since the "real name" is an Adjustable Spanner/Wrench (depending on locale). Its origin is Swedish when Bahco made them in the 1800s, Crescent held the patent for it in the us in the 1910s hence the common use of "crescent wrench"

Using wrong tool. Shifting spanner is what you need. That is why most plumbers male teeth marks on chrome fittings. I don't know what they get taught doing their trade

@@nathanmccumber8965 Had. Don't believe what alot of the comments say. The require more maintenance because they tend to collect urinary salts on the pipe because they don't use much water. And no matter what you do, they will eventually stink. Not to mention, the extra plumbing you need for one. There is no reason to have one when you can get a toilet that does everything better.
