Back in the 80's and 90's my uncle had one Mercedez 1113 as tractor trailer hauling cars all over Brazil. No a/c, no Air adjustable seats. A plain reliable truck. He was proud of It always taking good Care. You would not dare to enter the cab without removing your shoes or spraying It with the Air hose inside of the cab to get rid of the dust out of your shoes or feet. The truck was BLUE and had a silver Swan with its wings spreaded as a hood ornament. I had the privilege to travel with my uncle some times and I treasure This Memories for life. Its such a simple and short vídeo but as the truck was ignited It ignited my Memories as well. Lovely Memories! Thank you for posting. Greetings and blessings from Brazil.

My 1959 Mercedes 300 D ... Ignition on, fuel pump on, pull in on colum mounted shifter. Every once in a while push the pedal on the left side of the floor to lubricate the chassis. AM FM short wave radio with station seeking and automatic antenna. 6 passengers and luggage? Manual adjustment of the rear suspension. Air conditioning and ... A 120 hp fuel injected straight 6 and 3 speed automatic. Top speed of 105 but. Built to cruise at 100 mph. I miss that car!

И их смазывать надо было часто. Но плавность хода была, которой позавидуют многие современные С класс. На Мерседес скорее всего была центральная смазка, для элементов ходовой части.

@@connor3288 It pumps 90 weight gear oil to places like tie rod ends, ball joints etc. In the old days you used to get an oil change and lube job. There were grease fittings that were manually greased as part of regular maintenance. Ok my Mercedes a light would come on when it was time to push the peddle. I'd also do it if I'd driven through a deep puddle or snow.

почитал комментарии и смеюсь, данный грузовик не 1924 года выпуска, а намного позже. Тогда не было таких приборов, обратите внимание что на приборной панели есть контрольные лампы ближнего и дальнего света, панель сделана из пластика.. в те времена не было таких дворников. далеко не на всех автомобилях было ветровое стекло, электрический стартер, электрические фары были экзотикой (на большинстве машин были ацетиленовые фары), перед запуском двигателя водитель запускает электромаслонасос... машине лет 50-60, но никак не сто. Думаю, моя ГАЗ-21 1964 года старше этого грузовика

None of that sissy glow plug stuff either - turn the juice on (a nail would do just fine if you didn't have the key), crank the idle up all the way, tap the pedal once to unstick the shutoff linkage and hit that button till she lights off. Thank god if you already had a 24v system back than...
