These elevators are super rare! ❤ This is at the Masonic temple in Detroit Michigan. I've seen photos of these elevators in that building prior to the making of this video. I'd make a huge donation just to take a ride on these things. I'd probably rent these elevators out for a day if I could just for fun. 😊

This was a private invite tour. They do not do Regular tours of the elevators. This was a year in planning. You just can’t walk in and ask to ride.

​@@PAelevators This is the best elevator video you have ever done. I would call them up and make an appointment and offer a generous donation. I wouldn't just come in here and ask. Also, they do have behind the scenes tours for the public of all the restricted areas. The behind the scenes tour is very intense at this building and it cost a bit but it's worth it.

@@SPS8elevatorsoflakecounty It is a behind the scenes tour where they go deep into the mechanical areas and off limit spaces to the public. Even a theater that is only accessible by freight elevator. They show the incomplete swimming pool. They show their boiler room and Powers Regulator Pnuematic Control panel. This is for someone who really loves old technology. A lot of money went into this place. Many high ranking executives at General Motors donated a lot of money for this place. This masonic temple is a remnant of Detroit back when it was more wealthy as a hole.
