@@Theweirdequestrian It's not about me, it's not about you, it's about your horse. I'm just trying to draw attention to the problem, because you don't seem to realise that your horse has no desire to jump over a ridiculous piece of wood. You're only doing it for yourself and for your own amusement. Show jumping is cruelty to horses. It's against their instincts as flight animals to just sit on them. We have only made them obey us through brutal aversive training and forms such as jumping and dressage are the culmination of our domestication of these beautiful and majestic creatures. It's just become normal because we've been doing it for a very long time, but that doesn't mean it's okay. Please do your horse a favour and question your behaviour. Read about it and try to understand why it is wrong.
