Thanks for making this video. The best future option trading video I have viewed. Hope I could see this great video 1 yrs ago.

We are already in a big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.

Whichever firm you select, make sure you get your insurance from a reputable financial adviser, such as ''BRIDGET MARY TUROW" who has dedicated her career to financial planning. Because they will assist you in escalating, navigating better, and completing the task in a safer manner.

@@theresagarcia1218I want to build a diversified portfolio based on my personal income. I am easily triggered/highly emotional, which could be detrimental to my portfolio. @@danielkey1463 I have saved myself from all the hassle that chaotic market causes. These days the best way to come into the market space is by reading, studying, being patient, and seeking guidance when necessary, due to my line of work I can’t handle my portfolio so I just copy the trades of my FA. I saw her on Bloomberg business news. It’s been smooth since then.

Thank you for making this video. Would you be able to provide your thoughts on the pros and cons of futures options compared to regular options either as a comment or as a follow-up video?

First, thanks for making this much needed video. I've been testing diff platforms to see which one I want to use but there are hardly any videos out there. Anyway...my question is can you open orders (or update once open) so that you can have a OCO or stop loss (SL) with them. Not all platforms allow OCO for Futures options.
@mwu00882 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this video! Apologies, I made a similar comment in your other futures video and didn’t realize you had made one for futures options. My question is: can you place stop loss/stop limit orders on trading /ES futures options? The reason I ask is because I was paper trading on TOS and I don’t see you’re allowed to set stop losses on open futures options positions, you can only place profit taking limit orders?
@JustJaimie510 Жыл бұрын

Hey, thanks for making this video. Theres not much info out there on futures options. Do you ever sell futures options?
@shortthestrike Жыл бұрын
Personally, no. I’ll generally stick to something like SPX rather than /es, but I don’t trade commodities hardly at all so I’ve never had a strong need to trade futures options too actively

How do you know which futures options to trade? They all have low Open Interest and Volume. This makes me not want to enter into the position due to liquidity.
@EzekielPrellus9 ай бұрын
Does Schwab actually have futures and futures options trading with the TOS platform? Their website says futures are "Coming in 2024" which I found rather hilarious. How do you acquire TDA w/TOS and not have futures capabilities ready-to-go?
@50Options Жыл бұрын
Trading futures on Tos is very pricey.

So you buy a call option for oil and has time to expire but it went to zero before expiration, now can one hold and wait it might come back before expiration?
@bestdjintown11 ай бұрын
yes you can hold it until the expiration regardless of the price.

To load it the chart you’ll need to click on the studies icon, then search for it in the list of studies on the left. I believe I saved it under futures, and you’ll simply click it, add it, then you’ll see it displayed in the upper left hand corner of the chart. Let me know if you find it!

Do you know how Futures Options is Tax's ? ( 60 - 40 )
@joestore Жыл бұрын
No, that's not how futures options are priced. LOL. It's priced based on Black Scholes, with inputs delta, IV, interest, and time. So a 20 point move in ES DOES NOT necessarily mean a $1000 move in your option premium, because you have theta decay, and also IV is fluctuating
@shortthestrike Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what point of mine you're referencing. I was trying to explain to those new to futures options that the pricing is not standardized as it is with equity options. An equity option that has a value of $1, means it is $100 regardless of whether that option is for Netflix or for Microsoft. Whereas, that same $1 option on /es is actually $50 while it would be $1,000 for /cl.
@joestore Жыл бұрын
You said 1 point is $50 gain on the option. No it's not necessarily. For the futures, yes. The ES option is priced on black Scholes, and 1 contract has a premium multiplier of $50
