Shikkamaru not being able to use the shadow possession at night didn't make much sense to me at first either. But I did realize everytime he uses it he is stretching out his own shadow so if he isn't casting a shadow then he cant use it and that made more sense.

In general I wouldn’t want one, but if I was give one by force from orochimaru I think I’d like the mot powerful seal/mark; although I’d like the capability of turning it into a animal or zodiac mark.
