The way Ryan was before the fight shows he wasnt ready. The pacing back and forth, the self-talk trying to psych himself out of what he's feeling. He's never been in that position of pressure. He wasn't ready.
@Overlord_DH Жыл бұрын
He wasn't ready indeed. But what's admirable is despite the immense mental pressure - He stood tall and clear, unwilling to back away from the storm that was approaching him. He still had a chance to go back to the locker room and called it quits, but he still pressed on and faced his fate nevertheless. I've bad-mouthed him a lot of times prior to this fight, But now I give my respects and apologies to him.

Had to watch this several times in slomo. He's feeling the hook, ducking, stepping in and throwing his own ...all in less than a second. Also he's not actually looking at the target at that point. His size is helping here as well. He may have figured this out to suit his height. Impressive.

@jaredhatfield2806 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Ryan should've stayed patient and established the jab, straight rights, throwing the hook to the body for awhile so that Tank has to bring his hands down. But he's too damn dependent and confident in that left hook. On that knockdown, the 2nd to last view I believe, look how wide and far back Ryan threw that shh. Any skilled boxer would see that coming. No matter how fast it is, it's still telegraphed like a mf. And Tank was depending on it. You could tell that's what the majority of his training was focused on.. Ryans speed and reach could've made it a decent fight. But he shows you what he's gonna do. And his defense is just bad. He should've stuck with Canelo

I can't say for sure....but this episode was special. It felt like art, not just a regular documentary. Would not be shocked if this All-Accesss Tank v. Ryan was nominated for an award or two. It was a beautiful homage not only to the event that was the Tank v. Ryan fight, but to the fight game itself and the BEAUTIFUL, BIG HEARTED, BLOODTHIRSTY, PASSIONATE, LOYAL FANS OF BOXING!! It's my favorite sport and the fans are just awesome. It just dawned on me: boxing is one of the last pure things left that we have in public. Nowhere else is debate expected and carried out with respect. Nowhere else is that honor truly baked into the sport itself. You have to back your beliefs up with arguments and points. The fighters have to be strategic. They have back their claims up with actions. I will be boxing fan til the end.

No , I know some don't want to admit it but it Mayweather. HBO was awesome when Mayweather was there , when he switched to Showtime, then it became the best for boxing . Mayweather stuff with 50 Cent , his dad , uncle , all the cars etc plus the boxing , that stuff was great material for fight build up . Now these new guys can just follow that blueprint . Congrats to Tank , it's his time. I am sure Garcia will be back .

@@ttt8878 Floyd brought showmanship to the sport. Boxers always had money, the girls, the cars, the cribs, on the news blah blah. Ali was the baddest man on the planet, and was earning millions when other sports-people were not close. Floyd got a taste of that via Oscar in 2007 but it took him five years until 2012 to make one of his own and he has not looked back since and let's be fair dominated the sport in terms of eyeballs, coverage and money, even to this day and he is retired.

See Oscar could have schooled Ryan in being discpline which is what he lacked being ahead on the cards but being anxiious against Floyd which made him lose. If Oscar had stayed on the outside mabey he could have defeated the defensive master. Oscar left Ryan hanging by not relaying this message to his team and corner leaving the kid to his own discretion to take the fight to Tank. Teddy also said he is waiting to see Floyd give Gervonta the cheat code to beat Haney by revealing how to beat himself.
