kondrashin, a conductor that is superb in the russian repertoire.

His Mahler is also great. Not in the European tradition, but very special

@@cismoll_ Thanks for the suggestion. Love Mahler, but haven't heard much beyond Bernstein recordings. Mahler opened the door for me to appreciate Bruckner and beyond. IF you ever get a chance, listen to Bruckner's 8th!
