I first saw Kitanica 3 year ago at Shot Show, but this year I finally got to checking out their gear and taking some video. This stuff is NICE. It's not for the feint of heart because it's not cheap, but if you are looking for nicely (I MEAN NICELY) made clothing that is made in the U.S.A. you may just want to check these guys out.

We have enough garbage at Walmart or target. It’s so nice to see quality built. I can’t decide between the mark for or the Marc five jackets and I can’t decide between the green or the black but I will figure it out.

I just dont understand. why do companies continue to be in a state where its hard to even have a business? this is why kitanica over charges its products. if kitanica were to move to a state like texas or other friendly state, they would be able to bring prices down, and definitely gain more business.

I want a jacket/coat that has a comfortable cc shoulder holster rig built in so no clips or buckles other than release. I realize that makes the apparel uneven weightwise. . .still thinking how to fix without relying on spare clip weight. . .does a single side of protection count as body armor by government standards?

I can understand the cost and value of the jacket for a SHTF outerwear. After living hard for a few weeks and sleeping on floors, you would wish you had this jacket. It's the same reason we pay $600 for Glocks instead of $285 for a Canik from Century Arms. You could also use the flip flops vs Danner boots if you need another example.

Looks like nice gear but as I have owned and operated an American based company for the last 23+ years I'd like to know why Kitanica charges such premium prices. Granted US based companies tend to inflate prices for materials and manufacture but it still seems excessive.Perhaps Kitanica pays its employees extremely well? I only buy quality kit but it has to be practical as well (I like to be a good steward with my Blessings)...thanks for showing us around Shot Show Pastor Tim...

Hmm, I'm curious about this. If they indeed use US materials there might lie some of the hidden costs. Additionally, I don't think their prices are as high as people seem to claim. Aren't 5.11 pants all made overseas and hitting similar price points depending on the model?

alex o'neal there is an extreme amount of patterning, cutting, sewing, and finishing on apparel with this degree of fit and function. Not to mention they don't have the benefit of economy of scale of large apparel brands. I was expecting the prices to be even higher.

Yeah. The coats are bad ass, however 500 for a hoody is ridiculous. That company wont last at prices like that. On the other hand, in california, when you have to pay everyone a crazy wage, things are going to get expensive. Wait till federal min wage is 18 or 20 an hour

I find it funny people cry about the price of American made products. Take in the cost of labor that an American worker makes and the amount of time it takes to craft a product and these prices don't seem so high. I bet no one that makes comments about the "outrageous" price wants to get paid $5/hr. So let's no cry over it.

So he uses the "made in America" the reason for the crazy prices ? So every employee that touches these clothes should be making well over 100K per year ? So I guess we will we if they have any growth in future. People that use the excuse it's all made domestically for insane prices is why more products aren't made here. Made in America isn't a automatic excuse for pricing like this ! It's greed, if they have to charge this much then they are paying themselves to much and aren't worried about growth just being wealthy, that attitude DOES NOT help or grow the country !! Just themselves but then they act like the pricing has to be that high because they love the US. BS, they love there big homes and fancy trucks. Excuse excuse excuse, it's getting played out guys. There R and D did not cost that much, what to add pockets to pants ? Really ? Ok I'm done, but I do like what they have to offer, just don't try to play the I love America card to justify the disgusting prices.

I was interested until I heard the company was based in California. I would gladly pay $200 for a pair of pants that would last lifetime or at the very least be warrantied for that especially if it were made in America (aka outside of California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Illinois). Cool product though I would buy a few pairs of their pants if they made them in a state that respects the 2nd amendment, instead of having their local tax dollars being spent to destroy it.
