Texas Jagd visits SHOT SHOW 2023 and continues with the Thermal Tour - talking with most of the major thermal optics manufacturers and allowing them to introduce their new products for this year.

Thanks for the review. What many of us are in need of is a quality night optic with range finding and cut out the frills of recording etc.. If I could find a good thermal or a good IR without the crap I would look at it. Most of us aren't deep pockets and these manufactures need to take a look at the common man/woman.

Look into the ATN Thor LTV. I'd say ATN but also Pulsar are very much keeping the common man in mind. They are the ones making thermals affordable.

For 3+K I would purchase a Pig Brig and really make a difference.

Great tour! Just tiptoeing into thermal, with a 256 scope and a 160 handheld. It is pricey, but the real way to go into the dark.

That reflax sight is interesting. Does it work with a magnifier? How heavy is it? I have an 8.6 uber lightweight build I am debating with myself on which way to go optical for day or night so thins would work I think given that my shots wouldnt be more than 200 yards for what I do.

ATN made mistake taking away side wheel dial

I'm indifferent on that. I didn't quite like the haptic feel of that wheel.

@@TexasJAGD to bad... Don't think you use the way I do from zoom to changing ballistic distances on the fly. Now with that said ATN needed to update the wheel to allow individual users to assign dedicated functions instead searching for everything.
