Thanks for the video! I'm surprised no one else mentioned the safety hazard of aiming a drill bit at your hand (a little after 3:00 in). You never know when your tool or hand could slip. Always hold the object securely in a vise or against the table/steady work surface and aim your bit or blade down & away from you (and others). Easier to film the process looking over your work, also.😉 Hopefully you have a workbench or better set-up by now but thought I'd point that out for future viewers.

what i do is put it on top the wood stove for a little bit and just put a leather glove on one hand and rip the plastic off, i don’t find it that hot so i don’t see a need for pliers but that could vary among the individual shell and person

Hi, I’ve just tried to separate them & had melted plastic left in the metal part. How do I get them clean out? Is it cause I’m leaving them in the pan too long? X
@shilohhomestead85174 жыл бұрын
When I had that problem, I would use my needle nose pliers when the plastic was still warmish and just keep taking it out a piece at a time. Sometimes you gotta dig it out! Lol

what kind of scissors did you use to cut the metal?
@shilohhomestead85174 жыл бұрын
I believe they are fiskars and titanium. I'm not sure where they are right now to check for sure, but I'm pretty sure that's what they are. :)
