On the point of growing the scene, players need to play pubs. Most of the current fanbase of the CDL is the same people that have been following cod for years. A lot of these people play ranked and like the competitive side of cod. But, to grow the scene you have to capture the audience you dont have. Think about back in the day when scump had the 70 challenge, those videos have millions of views. I do think its harder now with sbmm, but there needs to be some type of content of pubs, from pros, if you want to grow.

I haven’t watched the whole vid but I don’t have time, can you elaborate at all on what you’re talking about
@_Deeyaz11 күн бұрын
I’m gonna assume you’re very young, 60k is definitely enough to buy a house like a NORMAL person. They’d have to get a loan, have good credit, and refinance in a few years in hopes of getting a lower interest rate. They couldn’t pay cash like some of these bigger creators, but it doesn’t mean they couldn’t. 60k is a normal person salary. If they want to make more, they should do things to bring more eyeballs to the scene, in turn bringing more advertisers and more dollars to go around. There’s zero draw in call of duty nowadays

That and the long break didn't help. Initially viewership before the break was actually half decent, but these days consistency with content is everything. New viewers won't have enough attachment to the CDL or their favorite team to check back in after a month if they've only seen a handful of games a week apart - even if they genuinely enjoyed those few games.

Here’s a start how about you let pros stream scrims? Also no one gives a shit about twitch anymore due to an ad being ran every 5 fucking minutes. 10 years ago adds we’re not running like they were, money started flowing more to not only the business aspect of streaming but the streamers themselves and that’s all anyone cares about anymore. When we watched optic back in 2014-2017 you got to feel like you were always there with the team almost like you were apart of them got to watch more than just tourneys and placement matches. It’s sad but money is the root to all downfalls. It falls back to everyone involved and until these orgs and games developers look in the mirror start caring about the people (optic included) more than themselves nothing will change. OG Scump and Nade made videos constantly different challenges back in the bo2 days. Road to 100 series bo3 with nade and boze, mlg ladder is no longer a thing, Seth 70 kill challenge.

what needs to be done is everyone streaming scrims, team content and stream collabs such as 4v4 matches with everyone in the same discord, pros hosting other pros streams, content mandatory by every org and their players, constant mini community events where pros play consistently. I understand joining optic is a different type of push in regards to making a name for yourself outside of the competition, but if cod were to die today, who would stay relevant? Gwinn is nasty. Snoopy is nasty. Hydra is nasty. I watch them in a match when codcasters watch them for 20 seconds at a time. I would love to watch them play a whole match or wagers or anything really. Talent gets viewership. I can’t understand how you can be a top smg or pro and not want to increase your value.

Some of them have been consistent for all of infinite and before infinite too. I’m thinking Snakebite, Royal 2, Frosty, Trippey, Piggy, etc + the rest of the community members who don’t compete but stream daily. the numbers might not be there but that’s definitely not from a lack of streams to watch or the players fault. Microsoft/Halo studios just suck. Also there are many content creators in the Halo scene. Real life Spartan, mint blintz, hiddenxperia, shyway, Active, the shilt show, YNOT, Reclaimer, Oath, Echidna. Just to name a few.
