Something I noticed coming back to this clip after sometime: when nishimiya confessed to shouya, the reason he couldn’t understand her wasn’t because nishimiya screwed up saying it, but because shouya was in no state to receive it. His self confidence was horrendously so low that the idea of someone liking him, let alone romantically, was an impossibility. Because it was completely out of the question for him, he had to find some sort of other interpretation that made sense at the time. It never crossed his mind that he could be loved.

this movie makes us understand and see how many people are unable to forgive others, Ishida really made a lot of mistakes but he redeemed himself and deserved forgiveness from everyone, yes, I noticed it too that most people who criticize and hate Ishida even after he saved Nishimya is that most of those who judge are children or teenagers, a real shame :/

True. An immature mind won't understand how deep the story is. Ishida's heart wasn't all black, he struggled with pride and will it to change and so very much deserved a second chance in life. The path of redemption is the most beautiful one to take.

The people who criticized Shoya for saving Shoko are the ones who actually hate Shoko and are rejecting Shoya for accepting her. People love to hate and hurt others that they see have good qualities they wish they had or strive to be. Since they cant obtain those goals qualities they backlash by not accepting

I watched this movie for the first time a few weeks ago and I’ll say this, it some of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I can relate to this so much and the fact that Shoya didn’t even care that anyone looked at him that way, he just wanted to make up with Shoko and the fact that Shoko never hated him but ended up liking him. They both needed each other in ways they both could understand or explain. This movie made me sad and tear up. I will always love this movie no matter what 😢

This movie always touched me as it made me realise when I was younger I picked on people with conditions going along with the wrong people or insecure with myself as I got picked on. I took it out on others. I was a child a teenager and I’ve learnt and grew to value friends and treat them and you want to be treated. Recently I got in touch with someone that I hadn’t seen for 15 years. I’ve always felt guilty I use to switch and go along with others. Yeah I wasn’t the best. When we met again it was as if we left off. We met a few times. she was touch that I wanted to understand more of her conditions as I was concerned one day. She was touched by that. I said I wasn’t the best back then as I went along with the others. She said it doesn’t matter it’s in the past, you’re here now. I’m just glad I got back in touch. It’s good for both of us.

@@peachystevie8900 He's old enough to know good and bad act. I think he's 12 at that time. Ishida, the male teacher and Ishida mother share the whole messed up shit. If I was the teacher or her mother, I will beat the shit out of his stupid brat brain so he realizes he can know better. Yeah, it was all about the plot and teaching the viewers lessons. The lesson is don't treat your student and children like their innocent. They 12. Give them an ass whooping if only they do bad deed.
