Yeah we know that...just take the message from the sermon and apply it to yourself.....stop complaining, I'm a Christian but even though the pastor is pointing to the advent, I myself applied to my life and try to leave that way......God bless you my brother 😇

I haven’t watched this sermon yet, but I read this comment and it made me realize that; I’ve seen people who I could just regretfully tell they haven’t ever been to church and aren’t religious at all. Tattoos and piercing all over their body. I’ve seen men with tattoos to cover up other tattoos they’ve had, and even some tattoos that made their whole arm look at black ink. The look on their faces plead regret, and naturally you don’t even want to ask the obvious question about the tattoo they have. It only makes me realize the hidden truth that tattoos cause more pain to people than satisfaction. You can’t have something permanent on your skin when this world is now made to perish because of sin. People change and tattoos are a trick from the devil and the epitome of instant gratification. Old people just look strange with tattoos and they all regret it too. This is something the world will never admit and it doesn’t take a Adventist to preach this because people should have the common moral sense to know it. That’s how blind people are to the health message. It makes Adventist seem like scientist just by coming to the realization of healthy living. Yet again that’s the power of the Holy Spirit working in a righteous heart.

I was a little surprised that you didn’t choose to go into the “Day of Atonement” for more explanation. What you shared was a new perspective for me, yet it was still easily understood. The old adage, "You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig" can be applied to we humans. We can decorate our bodies with the most intricate and colorful tattoos, the finest clothes, gold, silver, valuable pearls and gems, but we are still pieces of the dirt of the earth. Preaching more about Jesús love and sacrifice for us, more Christ centered preaching and teaching m, eill take us into a closer relation , a love relation with Him. And when we really love the Lord then as a natural response We will gladly do whatever He request from us. Otherwise We Will spend the sacred oportunities of The Christ centered preaching times talking about, eating meat or not, shaving or not shaving, women using pants or not, jewelry, tatoos, cosmetics, cofee, etc.etc. Those subjects must be considered and discussed un The right moment and place , But a Christ centered preaching Will produce more effective and permanent changes.

Solid Bible study on this.. I have to comment..I am sunday worshipper for God through Jesus christ.. and I stand on every word that the pastor teaching.. for the Lord himself convicted my heart on Modest dressing.. it doesn't matter which day you worship on as long as you are a true born again person through christ Jesus.. you cannot be the same I don't care who you are or where you are from or what position you are in or you no in no position. God word stand for ever through his Son Jesus christ.. I agree with you Sir.. I just run into this..All those words are my word to people that call their self Christian and they turn a blind eye pass it.. but I till stand fast in the liberty where christ as made me free..

@brittanys1982
@brittanys1982 2 жыл бұрын
I saw your comment and I would’ve liked more explanation as well, and not to downplay the Pastors points because He may very well mean well, but in the Bible (Gen 24: 22) when Abraham’s servant found a wife for his son Isaac, she was adorned with jewelry; a nose ring and bracelets for her wrists. So this leads me to believe it is okay, and not a sin. I believe it is a sin when we exalt ourselves when we are adorned by others, and do not remain humble, or seek these things more than God. When that happens, yeah people may need to rethink and readjust their mindset before the Lord. But I do not find wearing of jewelry offensive. There are a lot of things that people do that are just a cultural thing and I don’t believe God is offended by that. My goodness, if He was we all would have to leave this world!! He is more concerned with the condition of our hearts and attitude towards Him and man, are we obedient, do we pay attention to the weightier matters, etc. I am just concerned when Christ followers are taught things like this when it may not be the full truth. I think it boils down to a personal choice whether one chooses to wear jewelry, and how they act when they do. If it changes their humble spirit, then that is the sin, but not wearing it. There are lots of things we do for one another to show our love, honor, gratitude, and appreciation, and this is one custom, and I don’t see an issue with it. I am convinced in my heart, and am not offended by folks who do cultural things that are not meant to disrespect God or others. Would love to hear your thought on this as well.

@@brittanys1982 People need to stop looking at jewelry and tattoos as a “Right or Wrong” issue. The Children of Israel didn’t wear jewelry and they didn’t know about tattoos, until they spent 400 years, as slaves in Egypt. Abram was giving jewelry as payment for helping a king. Nowhere does the Bible say that he wore any of it. In fact…at the first chance he got…he gave it away. When Jacob was going to meet Esau…he told his wives to take off their jewelry and give him their strange gods…and he buried them. Nowhere dies the Bible say, they went back to dig them up. On the Day of Atonement…the instructions from God, was to take off their jewelry and put away their strange bids. If there was nothing wrong in wearing jewelry, why didn’t God allow them to come to the temple with them on?! And I’ve never seen anybody buy one ring, necklace, bracelet, hand chain, earrings. People accumulate those things after a while…just like tattoos. Remember…God owns all of your money…he just asks for 10% back. We are going to have to account to God for spending $100’s dollars on jewelry and tattoos…and we find it hard to help support sending a child to Adventist school…or giving a double tithe. But..we can’t wait to go buy that new necklace we see or get that new tattoo. You think you’re going to make it into heaven with that kind of attitude about spending money?!

“I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your wrists, and a chain on your neck. And I put a jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth” (Ezekiel 16:11-13). God spoke those words. Also, the scriptures say we should dress modestly which includes jewelry. It is not a sin to wear it.

It's so sad that we mutilated our body in tatoes, painting our face to make us look pretty in our mind, wearing jewelleries, when God finished created everything He create, He said its good, who are we to improve on God's creation, people who pain there faces are.pagan worshipper, Jezebel is the example, 2 king 9;30 Now when Jehu had come to Jezebel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a windows. You can read the story, painted eyes, wearing of jewellery, tatoo are paganism, God already created you perfect, when God gives instructions of how to make an altar for sacrifice, they are not the used any tools, why? Everything that God created perfect, we do not need to improve on God's creation, our body were created in the image of God, the devil wanted to deface God's image, the devil can't do it to GOD himself so he use human that God created to do his dirty work. I always admire SDA women who looks natural and down to earth, I was born and grew up in the faith, I'm so ashamed as some women dressed like they going to nightclub, so so sad, I'm not picking but the pastors just let it pass to a point where it's unexceptionable, it's not their fault, it's the pastor's fault, that is my church, teaching the right thing to do by God's word, ,

Says the man wearing a simply decorative tie. Sir, you are looking at the outward appearance, and while it is important to be careful, it's the inside that counts. And btw, we all wear "man-made stuff" based on cultural norms. This is a bit of a stretch to criticize Adam and Eve for clothing themselves, unless you're going to go au natural, isn't it? This is a bit of a reach just to say not to wear a ring or earrings. This is a major or minor issue? Minor at best, because if I wear jewelry to some churches I get looks, but if I wear an expensive suit or have a nice watch I get compliments. Make it make sense....by their fruits you will know them, my sheep hear my voice.

I believe the sermon should be focused on repentance and not on jewelry. Many are called but few are chosen.

Will finish watching video later. But straight off, jewelry was a means of wealth/monetary exchange. (Abraham sent jewelry for the future daughter-in-law.) Woman at a market wore her purse contents. Now, we have a currency, coins & folding money. When work place friends shove their latest acquisition under my nose, I admit, I will look at it & give opinion of it, whether well crafted or a fun piece etc but I can honestly say, I never feel envious. God supplies my needs & most of my simple wants. Now tats is cutting into the skin, very scary cause I have seen some blotched jobs. And when I got married, my late husband had his girlfriend's name "Pat" etched onto his upper arm the whole 51+ yrs togather. Since removal is challenging, new members that has indulged in this 'body art' before they have come to know the truth of His ideals of lifestyle for us, we need to not rub their nose into their ignorance before. Christ is woeing them to join His family. He will give us all new bodies & that includes skin wrap. Not going to mention Eve & why Adam didn't guide her away frim the test tree.
