Should Christians celebrate Christmas? Is Christmas a Pagan Holiday, and do the origins of Christmas traditions cause our Christmas celebrations to be sinful? What about, so called, Pagan Christmas trees, or the claimed connection between Saturnalia and Christmas? When we ask questions like, Should Christians celebrate Christmas, and is Christmas a pagan holiday, we need to also ask, what does the Bible say about Christmas? In this video Pastor Nelson with Bible Munch, answers those questions and more.

Which commandment is being disregarded? Celebrating and praising God for sending his son to die for us no matter what time he was born? Or remembering the gifts that Jesus was given and therefore we should also give? Or using this time as an opportunity to reach others about the gospel of Christ? Please tell me. Last I checked, none of God's commandments mention the things I said. If you want to take Christmas to that unnecessary level because of its so called paganism, then you better start getting rid of almost everything around you including your phone/computer since those are also part of worldy things that are not of God. Which can certainly be categorized as pagan/tradition.

@@joshuacarrero5360 There is only one day Jesus told us to remember him by, and it wasn't his birth. The attitude of this world wants to be Christians on their own terms and not according to God’s will The bible encourages us to think for ourselves using bible principles and examples, even if it is unpopular. Ephesians 5:10 Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord 1 Corinthians 3:19 for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God Just like ancient Jerusalem who allowed themselves to become influenced by surrounding Nations by taking in their practices and traditions and being rejected by God, this world today has done the same becoming influenced and assimilated into a pagan environment. God makes this final warning at Revelation 18:4 "And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, (Babylon the Great) my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. What this world puts meaning and importance and values into does not reflect God’s values or thinking Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts. To keep our worship pure, we must never mix it with unclean pagan practices. Hence, we must have nothing to do with observances that have pagan religious origins. Does origin really matter? Yes! Today the practices associated with certain observances, such as Christmas and Easter, may seem harmless. But let us not forget that God saw firsthand the pagan religious practices that eventually have become modern-day observances. In God's view, pagan practices do not become less detestable with the passage of time or through efforts to mix them with pure worship. How God views things doesn't change, it is man's perception that changes

@@tranquil65Sister I thank God im not alone in this, very well said, my wife and I are still having family fight us on these topics, my step daughter (our daughter) she has really been spiritually awaken through what Jesus has done for us all man and His finished work and in our work to stand firm in the truth, she herself is doing what we can't at times, spilling from the mouth of a child speaks volumes, even standing up to her teacher just yesterday about Christmas. God bless you sister, keep fighting for truth, that even the very elect may be deceived, Yeshua separated us from the goats and we are not of the world so we deal with the backlash and stand firm as do loving, real love creates scars that heal to make us stronger and cuts like 2 edged sword, we're all in this together.

@@joshuacarrero5360Josh we still love you, you know Jesus, so I know He will open your eyes in due time. Keep seeking the Lord friend, it will all make sense, like the rich man Jesus was talking to, there is still a hard patch of soil we must examine ourselves. God bless Josh, just pray about this, we say these things out of love to you.

Vain worship, traditions of men Matthew 15:3 Then He Answered and Spoke to them, Why then do yourselves violate the Commandment of God because of your tradition? 8-9. This people approach near to Me with their mouth, and honor me with lips, but is having their heart far away from Me. And then worthlessly they are revering Me, teaching for doctrines, precepts of men.

If you think you're a true believer of Jesus Christ as your savior then worship him every day ... Don't be a hypocrite making a celebration of Jesus only on 25 december Jesus deserve to be worship not just celebrate in the form of festival pagan root tradition , he deserves more to be praised&worship than just celebrate

It's not pagan. People who celebrate Christmas aren't worshipping pagan idols. We do praise Jesus every day, but we attribute Christmas as a day to remember His birthday. We know it isn't.

Christmas has everything to do with lies....the date of Jesus birth, people lie to their children, those statues are idols, most music worships not God but baby Jesus (Catholic church idol), churchgoers become hypocrites instead of making a life lasting change in heart like what the word says. He wants you to be joyful and giving doing good works all your life not just following the patterns of satan's world and his traditions. Stop the vain worship!

That's the Catholic Church you're talking about lol also you better not call the days of the week by their names because that is also paganism. Also if you reply to me, you're using technology that is of the world and not God which has been used by Satan countless times to hinder or even destroy people's relationships with God. EVIL PAGANISM. 🙄

Christmas is not a holiday of lies. Everyone knows Jesus wasn't born on December 25. It's more likely He was born in the Spring. We just celebrate it in December because it would be weird to celebrate it on the same season as Easter.

The church was who opened the door for christians to celebrate Christmas. It was because they could not get people to stop celebrating the holiday, so they agreed to allow it if they vowed to celebrate the birth of christ instead, which was not in the winter, but scholars think either late spring or summer, because thats when sheperds would have flocks out feeding as the bible quotes.The same is true with Halloween, the church dubbed it All Souls Night. The people all agreed or the church would pretty much just slaugfhter you like they did thousands of other pagans for not converting, just like they did in the crusades until they got their as handed to them and the so called "Holy Land" still is not theirs.But if you are to follow the bible correctly, though it has been altered many times, as well as religion, you should not celebrate any holidays aside maybe Easter over the resurrection, but that would be in church, not easter eggs at home for the kids because that to is a Pagan celebration. Its easy for me, because I was catholic for years, then I tried every religion I could try, it was all the same. I finally got tired of pretending I was happy doing things I really saw no harm in, and became very close to nature and started to learn more of the old Pagan beliefs. I become thankful for the earth, what it gives and the fact I am a part of it. Not some God that is judgmental, demanding and has followers that use the word to tell others how to live but rarely can or will live it themselves. I dont get into fairytales, I am a recovering addict, I prayed to God for strength so many times, and almost died several times for it. I have no choice but to remain in reality. Nature is my God, and I can show it to you to prove it exists....

@barnacles62

@@Clairsmith123 The point of my comment is to make people like you realize that your beliefs are NOT as realistic as you think. You hate things other people do (hatred being the key word) so you want to use the bible as some rule book tapping it to anyone you feel is not behaving as you deem fit. Point is religion has started more wars, killed more people, and created more diversity than anything on the planet. You want to read something to learn, read fact based history books, then youll see why Jesus is NOT the reason for the season, and why religion should be wiped off the face of the earth.....

We know that there is no J in Hebrew. Jesus is the English name for Yeshua as much as Isa is his Arabic/Islam name. It's still the same person. Same way Henry is also Heinrich, Hendrik, Neriku, Henricus, Henri, Enrico, etc in other languages. You forgot that the New Testament wasn't originally written in English, but I'm Greek, so there was no 'Son' nor 'Sun' in the originals. The words in Greek are: Son- Υιός or Yiós Sun- Ήλιος or Ílios And oh, Υιός is used all the time. I wonder why y'all still use these conspiracy theories.
