The biggest impediment to world religious harmony is the monotheistic Abrahamic faiths teaching their followers that my god is the only god, my path is the only path and my belief is the only belief (unlike Eastern teachings which teaches there are multiple paths to the same God) . This breeds intolerance and exclusiveness. Thats the reason why christians even debate whether they can do yoga or not because its Hindu while Hindus happily celebrate Christmas without a second thought. Thats also the reason people from the West are now embracing Eastern teachings in droves..

Dear Daniel thank you so much for your video on yoga sin. I converted from Hindu to Christ 5 years ago and many people told me to do yoga so that anxiety and depression will be removed and my sister always pester me to do yoga but I told her that’s not Christian and I will not do it. After watching your video I felt very peaceful. I had a vision of Jesus Christ and he spoke to me that’s how I became Christian. Jesus cured my anxiety and depression with everyday prayer and Bible reading. There is nothing powerful than God’s word in scripture.

This is the best video I've found so far about the deception of yoga. When I was first saved, I was attending yoga classes about 5x a week. The physical benefits were apparent, but I always felt "weird" during savasana pose and ending class with namaste. I would pray to Jesus the whole time. I finally researched the origins of yoga and understood why I felt what I felt - the Holy Spirit was prompting me to stop practicing yoga, which I did. My sister is not a Christian and is a yoga instructor. She asked me if I thought it was a demonic practice, and I gently asked her questions about the history and spiritual aspect of yoga. I told her that because I'm a Christian, I can't practice yoga because of its spiritual component, which is embedded in the practice. She obviously didn't like my answer (and probably thought I'm crazy), but that's ok. I pray for her salvation every day.

Demonic attacks do not always feel like an intense disruption that a demon is attacking you. As 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” it shows us that sometimes things we think feel good for us or bring us what we think is comfort or joy/healing are deception from the Devil, deceiving us into thinking and practicing things that are not of God. This was impressed on my spirit, "There's a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way of destruction." I didn't see any issue, but ultimatley decided the Holy Spirit did. What if yoga is more than simple stretches, warm ups, or exercises for mental and physical health and fitness, and you just don't realize that's the case? The devil wants believers to be deceived. Idolatry is used as a counterfeit replacement for that which God wants us to receive from Him. God does not share His glory with idols. Yogis say yoga is a religious practice. Science tells us that over 85% of communication is non-verbal/body language. Even without the chants and meditation, what if yoga poses (body language) are communicating your worship of spirits from another god? Please prayerfully reconsider the practice, and ask for Holy Spirit wisdom about an alternative to yoga. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Blessings.

I've done things in the past like a thc vape or masterbation and the holy spirit convicted me because it was wrong. The stretching routine I do before and after lifting weights does not take away the peace that God has blessed me with. If it were wrong the holy spirit would convict me. I used to be a yoga teacher and practiced for ten years... Even though I was still "a christian". I recently went through a whole year of repentance and renounced the practice entirely. I had to change my career, my lifestyle, everything. It was a slippery slope for me that led me to becoming a true "new ager" and not "a christian". My spirit was totally dead to Christ, and activated to the other spirits of yoga. The poses themselves honor other Gods, and I knew this, but I thought my God would not mind. I was wrong, and the consequences of worship to other Gods became very real. I had opened my spiritual gates to the "universe" and they came! This is so important that I've done podcasts, and even wrote a book about it. So many "good believers" are tricked by the illusion that this is just harmless breathing and stretching, but it is not. BEWARE the wolf in sheeps clothing. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Mantra is sanksrit (a sacred word in its own) meaning to "train the mind". "Yoga" is sanskrit for "yoke or connect", and we are called to take His yoke upon us, not any other pagan ways. Feed your mind with The Word, nothing else compares! I had let so many spiritual gates open, the "mantras" which means "mind train", the chants like "ohm nama shivaya", praising other Gods, the pranayama which they say is justs breathing but it is much more intentional, eventually even used crystals for healing chakras.... the demons don't wait, when we open our body and soul to them like this, they will flood into the body and soul and wreak havoc across life. I had life situations like divorce and abandonment. I had the death of my best friend in the military that instead of drawing me closer to God and having faith, it wrecked me from the inside out. My heart was broken, my family was broken, my whole life shattered. The brokenness led me right back to Christ, for which I am grateful. He picked me up off the ground as I laid my life back at His feet, and He has given me everything I lost and more back. Married, children, a good wholesome career, authored a book about it.. He can realign us, if we trust Him, and stay faithful with our faith. I will never try to negotiate my faith again like I did by rejecting the truth of what I was actually doing by being a yoga teacher. I honestly knew better when we learned about the bhagavad gita in school to become teachers. I rememberthinking, okay, these are other Gods we are posing to.. but I ignored it. Heed His warnings, false worship to other Gods has severe consequences and isn't worth the "health benefits" in the end. We can breathe and stretch without doing yoga, and of course I encourage a healthy lifestyle, just have to share my honest experience in hopes others can avoid it...

I'm glad you covered this topic, it needs to be said! I stopped doing yoga just last year after practicing it for years. I was a pagan when I first started, (makes sense right) but converted to Christianity, but kept practicing it because I simply didn't realize the demonic implications until I had a very serious wake up call spiritually. My son nearly died, and I think demons were attacking him. It was all very scary and awful, but eventually, with much prayer and fasting he recovered against the odds (and the doctors prognosis) and my whole family has been seeking God every since- really seeking, not just church sometimes on Sunday. Now that I am reading His Word, I am learning so many difficult truths and really starting to become...well, not really fitting in society. Not conformed to this world. And I love it! My dad is so against yoga because of the philosophy and I'm glad you touched on this as well And about the peace, when I cut away from all the anime and games I used to be so addicted to but think I wasn't addicted to, I stopped getting nightmares and when I knew that Jesus was the only one who could heal me it's as you said there's this satisfaction that's in me that said "I don't need anything else I just need Jesus" and it's so true because when I was able to confess my sins I was able to talk with my dad and mum whom I used to despise because they had issues and I thank God for turning things around. I am from India. I am a doctor (Cancer Biologist). I believe and affirm The Nicene Creed. I know that 'stretching & stretching alone' of our body to increase flexibility and blood circulation has nothing against the creed that I believe. Your *thoughts* while doing stretching/exercise give +/- attributes to what you do. So take care of your thoughts in whatever you do. As long as your thoughts are not against the Nicene Creed, you are fine. I do stretching in different positions, fairly regularly. It definitely helps me physically. Breathing control (purely on counts and length) is good for lungs and oxygenation. Christians need to understand the difference between simple stretching and invoking spiritual influence while stretching. Hope some Christian understands this. Investigate everything for that is why you have a body part called brain. (P.S - Did you notice that I never used the word YOGA anywhere before this line? Think why.)

Stretches are okay to do, not the yoga stretches as they are bowing down to other god’s. These god’s are demonic. I remember studying under Dr. Sorea in a healing class at bible college. He was Hindu and came to Jesus Christ through repentance of sins and believing what Jesus Christ did at the cross and the resurrection. We need to be careful what we open ourselves up to. It's designed to connect the left and right energy channels of the body called the ida and pingala. This mudra is not anywhere in the entire bible. So if you pray using this mudra like most Christians do, technically, you are still doing yoga. Hatha yoga is not the only type of yoga either. Serving the poor is karma yoga, so is helping the poor wrong? Studying the bible is jnana yoga, the yoga of knowledge, is studying the bible wrong? Yoga is not a religion, it is a practice. It is something you do, not something you believe in. Yoga is technology, so it doesn't require beliefs.

Yoga is one thing. What about breathing exercises to calm the mind. U talk about being sober minded. A calm sober mind and meditation on Gods word has helped me a lot. I’m obviously not idol worshiping nor have intent to worship another God. Breathing exercises can trigger a chemical to be released in the brain to calm you in times of chaos or panic. Thoughts on that?

I practice yoga. I had reservations, but the Scripture on food sacrificed to idols and our conscience before God is what leads me to pray before and after yoga. God is sovereign over any idol god (2 Cor. 10:29-31). Yoga is exercise for my body (strength/flexibility), mind (relaxation/stress reduction), and spirit (my body is for God’s glory and it is His temple; I honor God with my body). My conscience is clear; if I’m wrong, may the Holy Spirit convict me.
