This ministry has really hit home for me. Back in March of 2018 I fell into a coma for almost a month. My brain kept swelling and the doctors couldn’t figure out what was happening. They ran every test and tried every medicine, but they still didn’t have any answers. They even sent vials of my blood off to the Mayo Clinic, and they didn’t find anything wrong. The doctors told my kids that they needed to take care of my final expenses because they were sure that I wouldn’t come out of the coma alive. Well I came out of that coma on Easter Sunday and I knew then that God had performed a miracle in me. I wasn’t very strong in my faith before the coma, but I knew that God had more work for me to do. I believe that when I was in the coma that I was shown what hell would be like and I was terrified. I was praying to God to make the things stop and I couldn’t understand what was going on. By coming out of my coma on Easter Sunday, I knew that I was born again and that I am a walking miracle. Praise God for His goodness. 🙏❤️✝️

derek is the only man I ever watched to date , where after watching through his content , things actually happen and things actually change in my life . He's the only one who I watch and read from where I feel like I am equipped with what GOD expects of a truly reborn soul with the holy spirit ... as the word says , signs shall follow . JESUS used his content to lead me to my salvation , I learned deliverance of demons and get them out of me .. and I felt them come out physically , I got healing supernaturally from GOD in ways not possible on this planet , I really enjoy how he focuses on scripture and the fruits of the spirit , the gifts and all aspects of life tied in to where you feel you really have more understanding of GOD and your walk with him . GOD bless you in JESUS name , I don't wanna keep you too long , but yeah , I also learned how to pray properly here.

We are to remain sober and alert until the end
@HajiStaxGaming2 жыл бұрын
A drink or two with dinner doesn’t get you drunk. There’s multiple places in the Bible where drinking isn’t seen as bad. Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding (John 2:1-10), because a wedding is a holy union. Drinking isn’t always just to get smashed. Sometimes we enjoy a glass of wine with a feast on holidays or special occasions. Paul told Timothy to drink wine to help with his stomach ailment (1 Timothy 5:23). None of these suggest one consume alcohol to a high level of intoxication; but it was suggested for pain to Timothy and given to wedding goers by Jesus Himself to enjoy the celebration of the holy union of marriage before God. Getting drunk is sinful, as we are to be sober and vigilant; but having a drink or two with a meal during a celebration is not.
@andrealaphilippe59262 жыл бұрын
If you really dug deep, you would’ve seen Jesus actually turned water into juice and not fermented wine. But we do find excuses in the Bible for all our carnal desires don’t we?
@HajiStaxGaming2 жыл бұрын
@@andrealaphilippe5926 Apparently you didn’t read what I typed…or maybe you just have a difficult time with comprehension? 🤷🏻♂️ Also, if you think they were drinking juice to celebrate a wedding, than you’re literally just grasping at straws to use God’s Word to bash others “carnal desires”. You realize that pride is a sin, too? Maybe you should pray since you don’t even see it.
@andrealaphilippe59262 жыл бұрын
What pride? That I don’t drink? Let’s obey God’s word and not our own idols. You clearly said it’s ok to drink once in a while but not get drunk. didn’t you?Let me know where I have a hard time understanding what you said. Grape juice with almost undetectable amounts of alcohol were used to treat the bad water in those regions in those days. They would mix that with the water to kill bacteria so it was drinkable. Read Plinius, a historian that lived in those days and wrote about the “wine” you think it’s fermented alcoholic drink. Jesus drank wine? What? How about Galatians 5:9: “A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” You think we can pick and choose what to believe of God’s word? I have great respect for Derek Prince, but disagree vehemently on this subject with him. As you can see, he thought he can have a drink as long as he wasn’t getting drunk. And this particular night he had 2 or 3 and he clearly got drunk. You think you’re stronger to know the limit? How about smoking? One cigarette a day is good but a pack is a sin? Or pornography? One scene a month is ok but watching every day a sin? See where this takes us? Open your eyes !!
@HajiStaxGaming2 жыл бұрын
@@andrealaphilippe5926 See. This is where I can’t take you serious. You obviously didn’t read what I said the first comment. I said “ONE or TWO drinks DURING A CELEBRATION”. The Bible does NOT say, “do not drink alcohol”…it says, “be sober and vigilant for your adversary the devil walketh about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”. For you to say someone having ONE or TWO drinks at a celebration means alcohol is their idol is ridiculous. Also, the “pride” I was speaking of is that you think you know everything calling someone who has a drink or two at a celebration an idol worshipper. The astounding amount of pride it displays to attempt to destroy another Christian (assuming you’re a Christian) by calling them an idol worshipper for enjoying a drink during a celebration. Notice I didn’t say, “it’s fine to get drunk at a celebration”? How do you know their “grape juice” had undetectable amounts of alcohol? How many cups of Jesus’ wine did you drink to be able to figure that out? Because the Bible says “WINE”, not “grape juice”. Quit twisting the words of the Bible. It says what it says and the Bible is of no private interpretation. What you’re doing is similar to what those who paint a picture of Jesus as a sweet, loving person that never said anything divisive; yes, He is sweet and loving, but did He not drive the merchants out of the temple with whips? Did He not say, “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.”, in Luke 11:51-52. You’re trying to soften the Gospel and the Word to make it more palatable or to fit YOUR narrative. Stop that.

One important fact that our modern Culture needs to remember, it would take 10-23 glasses of wine back then to equal one glass today! Israel (except those seeking to get drunk or using it as medicine for the dying, etc.), boiled and diluted the wine to avoid getting drunk! The wine and sanitized the water if it was rancid and grape juice (new wine) is good tasting so they drank that before it fermented as well.

This testimony brought this to mind. Hebrews 12:6-11 KJVS [6] For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. [7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? [8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. [9] Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? [10] For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. [11] Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Jesus turned water into wine, the finest of alcoholic wine at a marriage feast, showing that it was okay to drink wine or alcoholic beverages. But Jesus did not intend for a person to get drunk, but exhibit self-control (see Gal 5:22, 23), though the director of the marriage feast said: "Everyone else puts out the fine wine first, and when people are intoxicated, the inferior. You have saved the fine wine until now."(John 2:1-11; Note: Jesus "Kingdom" teachings brought out "new things" spiritually [Matt 13:52] that should cause a person to "strip off the old personality" with its lack of self-control to the "new personality" that exercises firm self-control over their body and mind, see Col 3:9, 10) Wine was a "staple" for the Israelites, with many families having their own vineyards to grow grapes and mash down into grape juice to be processed into wine.(see Judges 6:11 regarding Gideon beating out wheat in a winepress) And at Psalms 104, it says: "Let me praise Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV). O Jehovah my God, you are very great. With majesty and splendor you are clothed.......He is making grass grow for the cattle and vegetation for mankind’s use, to grow food from the land. And wine that makes man’s heart rejoice, oil that makes the face shine, and bread that sustains the heart of mortal man."(Ps 104:1, 14, 15) Alcoholic beverages, such as wine, was common in the nation of Israel (see Deut 7:13), but Jehovah's servants like David never allowed himself to get drunk when taking on wine. When King Saul requested that the teenage David serve as his musician on the harp to calm him when he was angry (due to Jehovah leaving Saul who proved to be apostate), Jesse (David's father) sent David to Saul with a "donkey (loaded) with bread, a skin bottle of wine, and a young goat."(1 Sam 16:20) When drank in moderation, wine can be a complement to a meal, if a person has a taste for it or other alcoholic beverages. But Proverbs 20:1 gives this warning: "Wine is a ridiculer, alcohol is unruly; Whoever goes astray by them is not wise." And Jesus used wine illustratively, to signify his perfect shed blood, saying to his eleven faithful apostles hours before he was executed at the demands of the Jewish religious leaders: "I tell you, from now on, I will not drink again from the product of the vine (or wine that represents joy as an assemble body of faithful ones in this context) until the Kingdom of God comes (at Armageddon, see Rev 16:14, 16).........Also, he did the same with the cup after they had the evening meal, saying: “This cup (of wine) means the new covenant by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf."(Luke 22:18, 20)

If you abuse drugs like alcohol, remember alcohol did not abuse you, you abuse it and made it your idol. I am not trying to belittle your pain as I am a former addict myself, not alcohol though. For those of you that God has delivered from addictions, Praise him and stay away from what ever you were abusing. But please don’t set the standard of righteousness from your negative experiences. Could it be that the Devil has hidden this truth because he wants to take many to... Please be wise! If Jesus had unleavened bread to symbolize his flesh, why wouldn't he have drunk the pure one ( fruit of the wine, the good Unfermented wine) to symbolize blood shed for us? @@benb8066 with all due respect that's historically inaccurate. In that time and especially with that climate it was impossible to keep grape juice. It would either ferment or go bad. Wine was with alcohol exactly as it is today and there are also numerous texts from that time describing wine as an alcoholic beverage. With a market of both cheap and expensive ones like today. Even in the scriptures we can see hoe they kept it: "And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins." Mark 2:22 Keeping the wine in the wineskins IS a fermenting process. It is impossible there will not be alcohol in this. Also after Jesus turned water into wine they say to him "And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now." John 2:10 One would normally serve the good wine when everyone was completely sober and when the effects had dulled their taste they would serve the inferior

And a lot of ministry is to be done around seeing people delivered from addiction. For this reason, though the Bible doesn't expressly prohibit drinking, it would seem that a serious minister would not want to drink. Also, we're commanded to be sober and vigilant, because the devil is prowling like a roaring lion. How are we going to be sober and vigilant when we drink even one or two glasses of wine? It lowers inhibitions and opens doors. As one of my friends says, alcohol is called "spirits" for a reason!
@repentorperish14052 жыл бұрын
I don't drink wine, I detest it, it tastes like $#!# to me. And I don't drink spirits (very rarely now and then a rum or a gin and tonic). But I do like cold beer. As a matter of a fact I have a long time hobby of brewing my own ales and beers - and I've become very very good at it. I detest drunkenness, and the annoying way some people behave and talk when they have had even just a few (I don't think those people should have any kind of alcohol at all). I don't brew 'rocket fuel' (which seems to be some people's main objective), I stick to mostly some way under 5%. I do not intend getting drunk when I crack open a nice ice cold ale, and mostly only have have one two (or eventhree) in an evening, or when I'm sitting with a fishing line in my hand. I remember 'overdoing it' and getting drunk numerous times when I was younger (a lot, lot younger - it was a big badge of honour thing then) and I remember that back then, and do not have any intention of ever being anywhere near that again. I don't smoke or do any other drugs. Whenever some legalistic Lordshipper type trys to disqualify my Christianity, or tries to tell me I cannot be a Christian, because I admit I enjoy a cold beer, then I immediately know they are a heretic and (even for all their 'show') have nothing to do with Jesus.

If the wine of biblically times was not in any way alcoholic, can some one then explain to me Paul's words to the Corinthian Church in which he rebuked them by saying" For eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others;and one is hungry and another is drunk.",( 1 Corinthians 10:21) Surely grape juice can't make you drunk, no matter how much you drink!
@JackPickford-sv4hz Жыл бұрын
In the same way "fed" means that you have had your fill of food, "drunk" can also mean the same in terms of water or juice. Paul also said no drunkard will enter the kingdom of heaven in 1 Corinthians 6. So please be careful sister. Drunkenness is specifically condemned many times in the Scriptures. Paul says in Ephesians "be not drunk with wine but be filled with the Holy Spirit" Context is key. God bless you
@margaretlangston1862 Жыл бұрын
@@JackPickford-sv4hz not quite sure what you are meaning by your reply. I wasnt advocating getting drunk; or even saying its acceptable. I was however making the point that if the wine the Bible refers to wasn't alcoholic ,why then did Paul rebuke some in the Corithian Church for being drunk at the Lords table? Non- alcoholic grape juice doesnt make you drunk. The Greek word "methuo" is used by Paul in 1 Corthinans 11:21 Which means to be drunken / intoxicated. And the defintion of being drunk means to be "affected by alcohol to the extent of losing control of ones factulies or behaviour. And to be intoxicated means to be "under the influence" of ( in this verse) alcohol. Clearly in the context of 1 Corinthians 11:21 some in the church were getting drunk on alcoholic wine as opposed to merely grape juice! You are absolutely right when you say that the Bible warns against getting drunk. It does! Ephesians 5:18..But drinking alcohol in and of itself isn't forbidden. After all it was the Apostle Paul himself that recommended Timothy to " No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomachs sake and your frequent infirmities" 1 Timothy 6:2 So as with all things we need WISDOM and discernment....drunkenness is absolutely wrong! Drinking alcohol not necessarily so. This principle can be applied to eating too as the Bible warns against glutton, but we are still permitted to eat! Every Blessing

The thing is that carnality as He puts it is greatly misunderstood and he doesn’t explain it all that well because I don’t think he totally understands it himself. Let me start off by saying I hate the Ten legalism because it doesn’t really deal with the underlying problem which it’s our flesh. The relationship between Jacob and Esau is the same relationship between the two covenants. This theme is present all throughout the Bible and because no one sees it they really don’t understand the flesh. We view legalism and carnality as opposites but the Biblical view is they are the same and I’m going to point that out. They’re both a symptom of the same problem and that is our flesh. The best description of the flesh is self effort. In other words it’s a focus and reliance on self. Most religious Christians think that they need to perform works so they are focused on their own self effort. This is the flesh and it’s pernicious and sneaky. The thing is that the point Paul was making in Galatians 5 is that the works of the flesh comes from trying to rely upon yourself and the more “legalistic” you are the worse it will be. This is why the Pharisees were so corrupt. They likely were extremely licentious as well. Paul talks extensively about two groups of people. The Jews and the Greeks. Why? Because they were two sides of the same coin. They both were relying on themselves. I’ve had no real moral compass while the other one was extremely religious and morally driven yet they both arrived at the same place. Why? Self reliance! Christians don’t understand the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives and what’s worse is they almost always settle into this place where they set the boundaries in their lives and just sort of become religious and they’re almost no different from the world save they go to church. As long as they live inside their perceived bubble they think they’re ok but they’re really living a carnal life and churches feed this mentality because said Christians pay their tithes. They just want to know what the rules are so they can do what their supposed to and get on with watching football! The one’s that do want to make a difference are over focused on doing stuff with the church and they are the ones that really feed this mentality because THEY are the self proclaimed righteous ones because they show up to feed the homeless on the Holidays and get involved in every pet project the church adopts to look like they’re doing good and they are but they’re neglecting the most important part which is life with Jesus in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus ministry we never see Him feeding the poor or visiting people in the hospital although He does mention that we should do those things. We never see Him or the disciples doing much of that at all. What we do see them doing is miracles and preaching. Why are those things so important to them? Because it’s the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of God that draws men to repentance. It’s telling people the good news. Churches don’t preach the good news because telling people they’re sinners and going to hell is much easier and more profitable than telling people that Jesus saves, sets free, and heals people

Typically when the word "wine" is used in the Bible it's describing nothing more than unfermented fruit juice. Alcohol is referred to as a strong drink and it's called a mocker. That's a big difference. Do you honestly believe that Jesus would drink alcohol in the form of fermented wine? Or that Paul would recommend fermented wine to Timothy?
@barrygaynor10252 жыл бұрын
It depends. The Gospel According to John says the first miracle Jesus performed was turning a lot of water into a lot of wine--excellent wine. Wine was a symbol of joy for the Hebrews. The phrase "the Land of Milk and Honey" was a reference to the finest grapes and wine. But if alcohol causes you to stumble, you should abstain, as Jesus instructed. As Israel slipped into apostasy, drunkenness, corruption, and injustice are cited as manifestations of their depravity and evil (viz., idolatry), which led to the destruction of Israel in 722 BC and 586 BC. Then came the horror of the Babylonian Exile. "Ws sat by the river of Babylon and wept, as we remembered the glory which was Zion". Of course there was new wine and old wine.

Ask any alcoholic how he became an alcoholic .Hint:started with a glass of wine or beer to get away from a stressful day. People forget that in ancient Israel people were drinking wine because they had problems with water and their wine was young with barely any alcohol “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations Leviticus 10:9

wrong , I never started with 1 drink , nor could i have just 1 drink . I didn't follow JESUS , didn't have the spirit and had demons like every one else , this is the reality . It's curious then isn't it how an ex-Alcholic like me CAN have just one drink now , doesn't have any adoration or relationship with booze anymore ... doesn't drink strong drink which is what I was into , but a glass of weak wine with dinner SOMETIMES .. I would be careful here , you're trying to condemn people for an act JESUS himself partook in and approved of , he is very clear on what about it he DOES NOT approve of. The booze isn't what made me an Alcholic as I clearly am demonstrating in my life today , it was having demons , the wrong influence and understanding and not being filled with the spirit of GOD.
@onlymyself72252 жыл бұрын
by the way , that passage you're using , that's twisting GODS word , be mindful of doing something this bold ... there is context to that verse and a reason they were instructed this aka they were apart of very holy rituals being done before the lord in the tabernacle , this is not the modern Christian under the new covenant of JESUS CHRIST . I can show you MANY passages in favour of wine , nice try though.
