Amen! Praise God. I used to drink, but i don't any longer. In looking at the totality of the word, Jesus turned water into wine. It was common to drink wine at a celebration. It is written not to drink wherein is excess. It is written to let our moderation be known unto man (this shows limitations/boundaries) and constraint. So in cases of toasting at a wedding, if its not in excess, it would not be a problem unless you are an alcoholic or former alcoholic. It says a little wine is good for our infirmities as well, so its not to be abused. Let us look to the Bible, and lean not to our own understanding, but govern ourselves according to the Word of God. Continue to choose the good work in and out of season. Praise God and God bless you and your ministry.

To be honest I was drinking wine to help with depression but I wasn’t justified in it. Cuz if I lean on wine for joy I’m not leaning on God for true joy.

I think a glass of wine is okay. Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding. I wouldn’t have more than a small glass because I know the Word also says to be sober minded so I would in no way get drunk that’s out. But I love the way you put it…would you do that if Jesus was next to you? I can honestly say yes. A small glass of wine I could drink with Jesus next to me. I know I wouldn’t let it lead me astray and start going ham 😂 It’s not tempting for me to get drunk anymore. I thank God he delivered me from that habit.

Luke 22:17-38. Don't remember if this was the exact verse i was looking for, because I'm not near my Bible, but i do remember Jesus drinking once & saying he would no longer until the kingdom was come. Plus, all the scriptures i quoted above shows its ok, but it was to celebrate & wasn't to be wherein is excess. A Christian out of character is not a good look. Its also written to put off all manner of evil, so we'd never want it to corrupt our witness.
