God positioned me to watch this video. This is exactly what's troubling me, we as Christians should live our lives and preach the Gospel so the people who are pro-choice will get to know Jesus. You can't force someone not to commit abortion when they don't know Jesus, because they are only thinking about their situation at hand and don't understand the consequences as stated in the Bible. We as Christians really need to live our lives demonstrating the love of God so there will be a Great Revival and many (including pro-choice) will get to know Jesus! This will inevitable result in women choosing to live Godly lives and willingly choose not to do abortion.

Patricia. Mr prince is using faulty reasoning here. Christians get as many abortions as non believers. Christians get as many divorces as non believers. Derek princes Just a man of his day. It was a common opinion back then in Protestant circles. I find it strange that he was a professor of logic. . . . The christian culture and pastors are not speaking up. mr princes speaks wisely on many subjects but his claim here does not hold any water. .

(generational curses) When you are free to serve God/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit you willingly want to do all that pleases them with joy and gladness. Nothing should be done by force! Derek Prince is one of those people who prove that death is not the end of Life. So glad We live in this day and age, these recordings are available to us. This video should be put on large screens around the world, instead of time wasting summer movie projections. There is a group of men, currently in our country - kneeling each Sunday publicly, praying for women to remain "pure". They are praying for women to stay at home and care for their families, they pray against abortion while hiding behind the person of our Saviour, Jesus. This has become very counterproductive as women see it like the men are trying to enslave them to serve their husbands. Of course, protests are being held each time the men pray. Many women feel revolted and are, in fact, mad at God & the Christians. I very much appreciate Brother Prince saying the Children of God should have nothing to do with the affairs of the world. What these praying men do is politics, not the Gospel. Jesus didn't come to this world to judge the world but to restore, heal & Love. There is an excellent point in Prince's question: Do We Love the Mothers? Be aware, when Mary became pregnant - the local women would have stoned Her for not having a husband & Mary would be evicted from Her home, town & sent away from everything She held dear. Laws change, Jesus stays the same. Abortion is murder and whoever has done it, should ask for forgiveness not because God holds it against You but because He cannot heal You before You show regret. The sin of murder opens portals for demons to enter legally. It takes God's Mercy to be delivered out of a miserable life. Women are created to give Life, not take it. If You are a woman, know this: You are the devil's worst enemy simply because You are a portal to Life. Family is No1 on his hit list. Children are born in families and Jesus is coming the same way He came the first time - through a woman. Satan is not omnipotent as God, that's why he sends his foul spirits around the world to enquire about people - he does not know the women blessed to bring God's Children to this world. Women - stay strong! You have the greatest gift God could ever give to a creature: Free Will. Give that free will back to God and see what He does for Your Life. As long as You breathe there is Hope for restoration, I speak out of experience. Be renewed & Love the Lord❤ God bless You, Shalom!🕊️

I understand his opposition to mean-spirited protests...as Christians we are called to love. But this issue has so infected culture that people really don't even see it as wrong anymore. Too often, there's no other voice besides loudly trumpeted lies. It's not just the cliche of choice (and whose choice are we really talking about? Shouldn't we have more more information for a better informed choice?) There are also spiritual consequences which he didn't get into here. Most people "protesting" outside of abortion clinics are praying for the women and the babies and offering resources from local pregnancy centers, which are almost entirely privately funded. Trying to make them think more broadly. I understand that laws can't change people's hearts and minds but we have to start somewhere and Christians sitting on the sidelines is why many issues have gotten worse instead of better. This ministry is certainly not for everyone. It can be really heavy to see just how far culture and society has fallen. It's not only the downtrodden poor women who had a hard life. Many times they drive nice cars and just don't want to be bothered.

This is the first speech from Mr Prince that I do not agree with. If no-one stands for what's wrong, we are not using our nay clearly, nor letting it be seen what is not acceptable. There is a huge mass of Christians who - with right action - might change the law. Sitting back and watching something wrong take place is like agreement with it. If we are not against it, we are for it

I think you should listen again. He does not say, not to protest or have gatherings in prayer at these clinics. He is saying that preaching the gospel to them is more powerful as is prayer and fasting. I agree with him! Many of these protests and demonstrations are aggressive and without compassion for the young woman who may have been going through a tough time before coming to the decision to abort. Remember in his day there wasn't the allowance of aborting at full term. Which is blatant murder and as Christians we have to speak up against that. He would agree I believe if he was alive. Most abortions now in America are through the use of the abortion pill. So you don't even know whether your next door neighbor is using it!

Not talking up for the babies feels like not talking up for the slaves. Both have/had no voice. There was the option to remain silent and let the south carry on, but people saw something wrong and did something about it. Paul had a protestor Spirit to me. He believed in debate. Half his books sound like responses to people. We just don't hear the circumcision argument from the other side. We only hear Paul.

If a follower of Jesus is a citizen in a democratic republic, then they are also the highest authority in the human government. This is different from folks under other forms of government. Should the ultimate authority in government not use our authority (free speech, voting, etc.) to try and use that authority to pull the other people toward righteous in opposing the shedding of innocent blood? Violent means? No. But through legal means? Of course.
@seanm22163 ай бұрын
Derek clearly stated that believers should use whatever means are legally available, but he said that you should be involved with that which will produce the most spiritual fruit. If people tried to reach people with the gospel with as much passion as some have in being involved in political processes, it would produce more results. Many are focusing on trying to pass laws that will use force to control wrong behavior instead of seeing people saved and transformed from the inside out. Good people (those in Christ) with bad laws is a better situation than bad people with good laws.

All things start from God, and will end with God: No one who is truly of God can speak His truth alone, for it is not of ourselves that we speak His words, but the spirit of our Father which speaks within us (Matthew 10:20). The Holy Spirit will guide us to know the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). These deep things of God are unspoken from the mouths of most men and come only from God. These mysteries are only for those who have eyes and ears to receive God’s truth, which most refuse to receive. Those who receive the truth will be persecuted and hated because it does not fit societal norms. This is why Jesus said “he that hates and despises you, hates and despises me and my Father that sent me” (Luke 10:6). Repent.

I do not agree with Mr prince here. In the 1970s many Protestants didn’t understand the issue of the sanctity of life. It was totally cultural. Prince’s stance here in this video was not unique. Many Christians felt just like him in the Protestant world. . I had an abortion and had. no idea abortion was wrong. I was a christian and raised as a Christian and in the 70s Protestants in general, especially evangelicals, like Mr. derick prince, thought abortion was just a catholic issue. A Catholic doctor tried to challenge me and talk me out of it when I, in a matter of a fact way, told him with no remorse that I was going to have an abortion. I said “I’m not a Catholic” so it must be ok. In fact, a Pentecostal preachers wife told me abortion in some instances was ok”. This was how most Protestants thoight due to their disdain for Catholics and due to ignorance. So never thought about it until Protestants finally caught up and started talking and addressing the subject of abortion. . If someone had been standing out on the street corner with bloody fotos and signs, I am pretty sure I would have not walked into that clinic. Or at least understood if I did would have understood that I was committing a sin against god and committed the crime with remorse. I had absolutely no remorse and i was a christian. I got bad advice from a Protestant. Not blaming Protestants. But most Protestants had this same idea and opinion as Mr. prince. I don’t think he was wise here. it almost seems like he is opposing because most protestors were at the time of this video, catholic. Abortion only became a Protestant issue in the 1980s due to the “ right to life” organization and protestors out on the streets. I’m sure that there is little difference in who gets abortions today, Christian’s or secular. What makes matters worse is Many in the black communities are targeted and as ignorant as I was, yet to name matters worse they now have planned parenthood help them get tax payer funded abortions in the poorer black neighborhoods. Tragically we hear their pastors speak much like Mr. Derick Prince on radio and television. and are these pastors are none the wiser?… I’m not sure. . . Probably these pastors tell their congregation something that is very similar to what mr prince said here. My claim must be true because millions of abortions are committed every year with tax payer money in black communities and abortions have all but stopped in the nicer gentrified Protestant hospitals . The abortion clinics in the hood are thriving just like the churches, wig, nail salons and liquor store in these ghettos. In the hood, There is a church on every corner but churches are not curbing the infiltration of free tax funded abortion clinics in the hood. Abortion isn’t slowed at all very much but churches are mega now. . . I would say that many of these girls go to church and hear the gospel every week but are raised to think abortion is ok… it’s really tragic that the parents and church leaders have little wisdom to give them concerning the seriousness of the. murder of babies. I would say don’t listen to derick here. He is wrong. If you can stop some one, god bless you. But do know that if you protest when you go back to work and get your paycheck, a portion of that money you make goes to fund abortion and does so by the millions.

That's some interesting context about the lack of moral awareness even in some Christian circles, and I think it's related to my biggest reservation over Derek's message here: Nothing brings individual hearts to God like personal Gospel testimony and grace, but our social context informs our thoughts and actions. Over the past decade in particular we've seen the demonic realm use the far-left as a tool to strong-arm our culture into accepting the worst kind of lies. Their aggressive tactics do in fact incur the very kind of counterproductive backlash that Prince discusses (albeit less than we would receive, due to their institutional control), and the backlash is growing from their absurd heavy-handedness, but their overall strategy did work. By aggressively projecting the appearance of overwhelming social consensus, their pretense eventually morphed into a true mass psychosis as half the population conformed to the brainwashing. Meanwhile, the church shrank away from public spaces and let itself be marginalized, giving evil room to breathe. This has led to an unbalanced form of polarization beyond what Prince ever saw, and we now have the benefit of hindsight: On the one hand, the polarization itself has its own redemptive purpose in a "wakeup call" that's leading many who "reject the programming" straight back to the Gospel. On the other hand, we can and should also take the lesson that the vocal absence or presence of our views will naturally affect our culture and laws. The overwhelming majority of people form their opinions by social proof, which may affect people's receptivity to the Gospel and understanding of the message, even if it also creates a shallow "cultural Christianity" of professing believers who don't really mean it. At the very least, it affects the actions that are considered socially acceptable and legal, and every baby saved is another soul who may become a mature child of God. From that perspective, it is clear to me that receding to the private domain was a mistake, and we must increase our public presence if at all possible. This is not about "impressing" the media or Congress anymore, but about giving the public social permission to even entertain the Gospel in an anti-Christian age...and if nothing else, sufficient social and legal pressure to allow their babies to live long enough to hear it. We also now have hindsight on the law's importance: Prince is correct that abortion pills and such will always provide illicit options for the truly committed, but the absence of industrial scale butchery in Texas contrasts strongly with its continued practice in blue states, even up until the moment of birth. Not only is the land itself no longer being stained by the blood of babies in specific states, but the total numbers themselves seem to have dropped. It turns out that increasing legal barriers to murder does in fact reduce it, even in a wicked society...something we already understood for every other type of murder.
