Dr. Jones (following many other theologians) misrepresents Scripture at 3:54 by linking Matthew 21 (=Mark 11) with Matthew 24 (=Mark 13) regarding "the fig tree": "He told His apostles a day or so later" linking that real fig tree with the eschatological fig tree is not in Scripture, nor this there any OT use of "fig tree" exclusively as "a symbol of Israel." Dr. Jones doesn't even distinguish between Judahites, Israelites, & Levites. It's frustrating & sad to hear theologians treat their interpretations as facts or the only possible interpretation without acknowledging others. ✝

No, you should not support the war crimes of Israel. Especially if you consider yourself “pro life”.

Thank you for addressing this. I wholly disagree. Your position is based on an eschatological position which did not even arise in the church until the 19th century. For the prior 1900 years the Christian church would not have agreed. Indeed, it can be demonstrated that Zionism arose in the same time period, from the 19th Century. We all just form our own opinion but I would heartily advise evangelicals to turn of Left Behind and read the historical views of end times. Israel as the church never stopped existing but 5e nation-state of Israel was judged by Christ. We should have a passion for evangelizing Jews but we must be honest and recognize that the religion of modern Judaism is not the religion of Moses, King David, or Isaiah and Jeremiah. It is the religion of the Pharisees. And , please learn the truth about the modern nation state of Israel.

This would be where we disagree over Daniel 9 - specifically verse 27. I hold the view that this will be fulfilled in the future. How do you see it?

@seirragrey... I am struggling to understand 100% where you are coming from in your comment. You seem to be saying that "something" wasn't believed until the 19s, and suggest we read historical stuff, what historical stuff? Yoiu are saying what you think is wrong, but not giving suggestions to what you think is right. And what is the Israel truth, and where do i learn it? P.s. Which church?

Thank you for stating your view. I view it similarly before the state of Israel existed Arabs jews and Christians all lived on the land in peace. The heavy handed attitude of zionists who proclaimed no faith but the desire to control and rule has no faith and relation to God. The secular attitude has led to a possessive spirit .
