In my opinion Greninja is one of the most forgotten pokemon by the devs currently, he only thrives in some matchups on ranked but theres zero reason to play him competitively considering how much stronger most characters are.

What I want for Greninja is to get buffs on Smokescreen, HP stats and then Unite Move CD to 112 or 118 seconds. Just these buffs may make him viable in the meta.

Yeah it makes no sense when there are mons that have insane cooldowns and hp Unite move at low cooldown (especially the releases after laparas) And there's greninja which is kinda a melee range and one stun is all it takes to kill you I love playing shuriken than surf cuz you can have a safe distance but if I get vol tackle one time I'm dead I tried aeos cookie before but it doesn't help too

I was the Gyarados in this match and it was so painful. I was abondoned on my own in top lane as Magikarp and the jungler Cinder had choice specs.....standard game of solo q unite.......

Very squishy for how close it needs to get in a game overwhelmed with CC and he himself could use a CC. Like the double team clones hitting you could cause a slow. Walking into the smokescreen applies a slow smoke item effect and so on. Also surf could do a little more damage or rework the move so that it resets on kills and lowers cooldown if you hit something under half hp

How I would buff Greninja: - Increase of following stats: HP - Bubble: damage increased ; CD decreased (9s --> 8s) - Substitute: CD decreased (8s --> 6,5s) - Double Team: damage increased - Smokescreen: CD decreased (13s --> 10s) - Surf: CD decreased (9s --> 8s) - Waterburst Shuriken (Unite move): CD decreased (134s --> 112s)

For the damage it does, the unite move should be on the 100s not on the 110s

I think they need to buff surf build, compare it to the meta Pokémon it is relatively weak, good players can still get multiple kills with it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need buffs, it smarter for developers to just buff his crit damage so both build can benefit from it

I get to master every season with greninja other CC I want him to get more health in general. But Im 50/50 man cause Gren still got good damage, I used to love the surf build but im a just all shuriken and with the attack weight build I run I’m still able to do my thing I just had to play more team friendly in this Meta not alot of 1vs1s.

Range basic atk just needs buffed and cinderace range as well like how does range mages have longer range but not the phiscal atkers either nerf the range on mages to pair with phiscal atkers or buff the range on phiscal attackers to pair with mages

I am a greninja main and as much as I love playing this pokemon, I truly do believe that Greninja does not need a nerf. It has its moments, there are definitely better options but if you play Greninja right you can do really good. And plus I also don’t know what to buff without making it too op. If I had to change anything, I’d give it more defense when using moves and maybe make distance traveled when using smoke screen longer

I think the primary buff Greninja’s surf build needs is a reset window for the executive. Doesn’t have to be very long, could be: if you kill an enemy within .5s or 1s of hitting them with Surf, you still get the reset.

All greninja needs is more shields, no stats because it makes sense to be squishy, but the UNITE move doesn't give a proper shield and maybe Surf can collect a shield everytime it resets? sort of like the Dragapult stacks, I think attackers should be able to develop damage but always be squishy.

Give Greninja more life steal. The smokescreen dash should have a small invincibility frame like the substitute doll. The clones from doubleteam should do almost as much damage as the real Greninja. CD of everything needs to be lowered.v

Everybody wants to buff his bulk, but with how much Greninja’s kit has, he should die to a sneeze if he misplays. The problem is his damage is so low with how bulky the meta is. Even with a fully stacked attack weight he barely touches anything. His ranged autos do next to nothing, ult barely does damage to bulk, and surf’s reset threshold is so low. Buff his attack stat and the scaling just slightly on ult and surf and he’s be good. People want a bulkier Greninja but that’s just to compensate for being a bad player and misplaying with him. He should get punished for that. But as a pseudo assassin he just doesn’t do assassin levels of damage and that’s the problem.

Definitely skill issue. Greninja is a glass cannon. At level 7, it can level the entire enemy team with surf or even shuriken. The player however, need some training to do before picking up Greninja. You cannot ult objective when they have 25% hp left to steal 😂

@@itapproaches3484 That's exactly the problem. You set a really high expectations for Greninja. Even the before nerf Icicle Spear can't 1 shot defenders. You don't go blindly fighting anything that move.

@@blameitondanny #1 it couldn't one shot defenders but it sure as hell shredded their hp anyway with low effort and #2 whether you go aggressive or poke to look for openings it's still an issue, if you poke, your damage is underwhelmed and you can reliably get much damage on defenders without your team, and if you go too aggressive, then gren gets caught and dies if you mess up once.

Here's the thing, even tho gren is in a bad state it still isn't 'unplayable' as a majority of the yt comments make it out to be. It is a victim of power creep bcoz of the release of newer mons and especially slick spoon(that started a whole sp atkr meta). Meta is unkind to all physical ADCs in general but gren comes out on top. It needs some changes like hp and def for sure and maybe make its move deals more damage based on opposition hp as the meta is super bulky and unite cd buffs. Ss should have some extra effects too and/or lower cd. Maybe its time to Make ADcarry great again as the "special stun" meta is super annoying.

Eh that's probably the worst way to buff it, the main problem with Greninja is a few things 1. It's ganking phase is insanely weak 2. It gets shut down by strong tanks/cc mons around its level, some matches literally make surf impossible to use 3. Cool downs on smoke screen are horrible, there's no way Dragapult and Meowscarada should have invisibility better than Greninja and also have better cooldowns or just better uses overall, Meowscarada just has invis as and added benefit to its kit and Dragapult gets faster, increases its Guage, and has increased attack speed, Greninja doesn't have those benefits in a move that's part of its kit, and it has a long cooldown to boot

Instead of buffing HP or Defenses like others are asking, i’d probably buff its attack stat. Because Greninja seems to be more like a mix of a speedster and an attacker, unlike other attackers such as Cinderace or Dragapult, who are equally as frail, they can deal heavy damage, Cinder with rapid basics and Dragapult with its high mobility options. So, i’d say we either give Greninja cooldown buffs for Smoke/Double and/or increase its attack stat from 146 - 460 to a higher 168 - 510. It’s a small buff, but i feel like it’ll help a lot, since Greninja was designed as a glass cannon it seems.

The thing is that he does need HP increase since he is too squishy. All Speedsters have higher HP stats and even most attackers have high HP stats than him. If he needs to Surf safely, he needs at least some amount of bulk to do so than just more damage. Its actually way more balanced to buff HP than Attack Stat. He actually does good damage. So, he doesn't need the damage buff.

Partially true partially not. It's too squishy. Its competing with all the other attackers. Unlike them it takes a perfect gameplay to get an average result while even a single mistake(even random one like walk in your own area grass patch and an enemy is there) means you immediately die

@@solarium4884 that's why the way I play Greninja is not that of a brawler. Keep your distance and go in at the right time, and always stay with a tank. Back cap Greninja is probably the best way you can play this pokémon without getting squished flat that fast.
