@@chrisrj9871 Na, we get to just skip ahead to the next attempt while he suffers for another 2-5 minutes off-screen getting to the part right before he died. Then he makes it 4 more blocks than last time before dying again and going off-screen for another few minutes of suffering. If you want to experience the agony he endures to produce these videos for us, I recommend some of his earliest videos before he started editing out all the mindless suffering.

Just because a level tanks your run and is difficult to learn doesn't mean it's bad. If people learn how the Canadian level works, it could become communal knowledge, maybe even a new frontier or avenue of creative exploration for kaizo levels, etc...

problem is, it's a trick-shot level with no explanation that has something like several million possible answers if it requires pixel or near-pixel perfect inputs. A lot of the Kaizo training levels are bad too.

@nathanielbass771 That's right, and I know that's what the 'boo button' is for - I would just hate to see some kid's dreams crushed because someone like Ryu booed his level. When I first got SMM2, I didn't know much at all about level design - but I discovered a (then) new tech, and made a level about it just showcasing the one trick. It got mixed responses and never got popular (the level, anyway - for all I know the trick itself did). That's all fine, but it would really suck if I signed on one day and saw my level had the permanent disfavor of a beloved SMM2 creator, especially* Ryu.

First off, yes that last level was crazy. However, i must point out something for all the level creators that MOST content creators seem to fail to mention. Before making levels making levels myself, I was completely sympathetic to the CCs when they couldn't believe the lack of checkpoints in some levels. HOWEVER... AFTER CREATING LEVELS MYSELF, I quickly found out that Nintendo makes you ONE-SHOT every level THEN you have to complete said same level starting from each checkpoint. Which on certain levels can be very difficult, to say in the least, only to give the player the comfort of having the ability to die and come back to said checkpoints. Props should go out out to all level creators who leave said checkpoints BUT ALSO an honest understanding to those who don't. Honestly, if we HAVE TO one-shot it, then you should be able to as well... but that's just my humble opinion. 😅😅😅

@@franzise3605 the only reason why i like ryu mario content more instead of thebwest content is he makes his videos without the help of the tool ((in this case totally fine) but thabwest just plays to finish the stuff now and for clicks. uses tool every time. you can see how he actually does not like playing the game anymore. ryu takes everything as a challenge and i thought it would have been the real way of the samurai to show: here ya go folks i am gonna knock this level out.

@@frankthetank1741 I agree that one of the cool things about Ryu's content is that he still seems to have a lot of fun making these videos. But I believe part of that may be due to how he sometimes chooses to let things go. I mean, it is totally possible that he may come back and beat this stage. But if he applied this mentality of knocking every outrageous level out, I think it would take a toll on him over time. You can tell he loves to rise to the challenge, but sometimes he just has to say no. And that is likely for the preservation of his own sanity...

Ryu's beaten way harder levels than this one before, but a level like this that probably takes close to the entire time limit (that's over 8 minutes, might not sound like much but if you have to play it even ten times, that's close to an hour and a half) and has no checkpoints is more tedious and annoying than truly difficult.

So what did you learn Ryu? When you have a crazy run going, NO PAUSING IT. That means the luck expires, it doesn't carry over to a week later. You play and play and play till the run ends, even if the video is 3 hours long!

Hey Ryu and chance youre going to tackle the older Mario & Luigi games before the new one drops? I promise you that you will like Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story, think of them like a 2D Mario RPG, theres timed attacks and timed blocks like RPG, secrets, weapon upgrades, a linier story progression with fantastic boss fights, different levels of using your super the most basic version does the least dmg but it tells you exactly when to press the action commands and the hardest level does the most damage and you have to remember when to press the commands, its very similar to Mario RPG, I think Barb played it recently.

The area where you have to ride the one block near the end looks to be where the Bowser is coming from during the one fight. So, I don't think the Bowser was meant to be a part of the fight and is just a bit to close to the room you're in so it comes after you.

I like that Ryuvenge has become a case by case decision rather than an obligation. This level is nowhere near interesting enough to bother playing all the way through. If there was one or two interesting parts down the track maybe it'd be worth the time but it's all really stock standard stuff that's only irritating because it drags on too long.
