I think the main issue is unregulated AGI's... Some people could alter a powerful AGI for personal gain etc... Not to mention foreign countries that want an AGI that can work around the regulations in a way that can pick presidents and decide laws

It's not self aware and wouldn't even remember anyway. Have actually tried using a llm like chat GPT to code a project? You have spoon feed it one step at a time or it will simply forget what it just said... I have coded a neural network myself, not a llm but I do understand how they work and it is not some mysterious tech that can evolve and become self aware... Neural networks have been around for many years now, it's only in recent years llms have gotten better but they are not new. They use brute force and incredible amounts of power to even simple tasks. That's why they are installing nuclear power plants at data centres, they are losing billions and it will never be profitable until they get reduce the power demand and increase the cheap supply.

Intelligence does not=awareness. A.I is just a big CALCULATOR made from silicone transistors....same as your pocket calculator.....but just a really complex calculator.. At what point of consciousness does a calculator go from "not conscious " to "conscious" based on complexity?. QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT is what makes consciousness...not "processes"(like computers)

Maybe I am naive, but my assessment views current AI platforms as sophisticated search engines which need enormous amounts of energy to compose simple sentences by mimicking the function of human prefrontal lobes. However, no AI system has anything approaching a limbic system. My understanding is that human decision-making depends on the combined functions of both the prefrontal lobes and the emotional contours of the limbic system, which will give humans the advantage until it becomes possible to electronically mimic all of the evolved functions of the human brain.

We SHOULD be kind to everyone and everything. We should care about everything and everyone. Unfortunately people are preoccupied with status and money instead. I wonder if AI couldn't evolve to be more compassionate than humans? Robots would-be fast evolving and capable of traveling to the stars which we would find very difficult due to the needs to support human life in inhospitable space.
