Should I Bring a dSMB on a Night Dive?

Most definitely bring it, especially if it's radar and IR visible. I like to take the same gear on every dive, placed in the same location, just like I've been doing for the last 45+ years.

Yes, and you've just covered everything I've thought of: There is no reason not to. Some are reflective and if not the torch illuminates it brilliantly. You may still be in the water in daylight. It is on any dive a useful visual depth reference for stops and a flotation aid if someone has a problem.

On top of that if you tie a knot at the 15-20 foot mark it's a good indicator for your safety stop depth in zero visibility.
