Should I Buy 2017 Corvette Grand Sport?

Don was a riot. He's the host and salesman I met at Boardwalk Chevrolet in Redwood City, CA. I drove the Suzuki Hayabusa up there from Santa Cruz to check out their amazing inventory of 2017 Corvettes. It is truly astounding! Z06, Stingray, and Grand Sport models abound in all colors and configurations. We talk about the amazing Grand Sport, my preferred model versus the competition. Don tells us some fun stories and we laugh about how has to move a whole warehouse full of Vettes to get just one out. We learn a 21 yr old bought his own Z06 with his own money. I contemplate if I would ever get enough use out of this amazing car. A not to be missed TNP car enthusiast video.

We take a fun trip to CA to Boardwalk Chevrolet to check out the Corvette Grand Sport. An ideal and very capable sports/track car, the Grand Sport is my favorite model of Vette. Check out Boardwalk's warehouse full of Vette's while we're there. Holy cow! Will I get one? Hmmmm, we'll see but it's iffy. Corvettes....awesome cars! My dad has a 06 Z06 since two years back now and just wow...Truly in love with that car! Always liked Corvettes but after driving one I love em even more! The goal is to get a Corvette of my own eventually :)

I would get a Z06 not only is it more badass and faster (can keep it in street mode for your pos and there is always factory warranty if anything were to mess up) but for the price you can bring the price of the Z06 down for the same price as a grand sport and chances are the Z06 retain its resale value a little more.

They're close enough in POU. Especially, if you're just going to get the 8 speed. Which, if that's the case, just get a GTR. Most people will be faster and happier in a GTR. Particularly if you're tired of 52 years you've spent shifting.

I was 19 in 1993 and worked at a car dealership. We had a ZR1 (look it up). Lets just say that taking it out of the showroom was pretty awesome (and loud, and smoky...even the boss would not scream at us when we lit it up...he knew...) It's not my place to tell him what to do. IMO it's a waste that could go so much further elsewhere. How cool would it be if he did like a week long or more wilderness trip through Alaska or South America running his best systems. I had a '68 427/390 4 speed. it was white with black leather interior. I owned it for 29 years. Restored it to stock. it was a beauty and it was a rocket. Had to sell it back in 2012. All I know is at a track day I went to an 04 zo6 with aftermarket leaf springs, bilstein shocks, slicks, intake headers and exhaust with a tune, was passing everything. It passed very modified r35 GTRs, Porsche gt3 and gt3 rs, and a full race BMW m3 (as in race car, not streetable.) It was awesome I talked to the guy for a while. When I can get a corvette, I will. And it will be red and have a manual trans, other than that, I won't be picky.

Nutn, I have a 2014 2LT 7 speed and I love it. I have owned German sports cars forever, and haven't owned an American car in over 25 years. I test drove the C7 and fell in love. I would upgrade to the Grand Sport but currently have other priorities. Defiantly go for it!!!

To each his own! ;) On another note I have been wacthing several reviewers mis-lableing assault rifles and battle rifles. It seems as though manufacturers will call one for the other to get that second type of cool. Your pou discussions are right on point. Maybe you could do a video on different types of rifles and their purposes to educate the masses. Ex.: What is the difference between a battle rifle and an assault rifle? Can a DMR be both? etc. Your voice is appreciated across the net. Thank you for your hard work.

I will always advocate for buying a Corvette. I'd suggest getting one with the tap shift gear box as it's faster to go through the gears with that on the Corvettes these days than the manual stick shift. I'd get the Grand Sport in Blue with a Black interior with the tap shift automatic.
