I message you before .not just you should build a house by your self ... If you have a time and whant to create a content .. Here in nepal we have great architecture.. But people are forgetting.. Before earthquake Almost every village family have a traditional nepali house .. These house are made from stone mud bricks and wood . Economic and cheep to build 4-6 rooms in 2nd floor in a 3floor house People use huse top floor as kitchen and ground floor as store Now after earthquake People live in a house with 2 12/12 room People use to have huge front yard .. 😭😭 How to explain .. Nepali village are killing themselves

Wow, Namaste Tobi bhai, I love your dream and I love your enthusiasm. May I suggest, just don't put your expectations too high - as dealing with Nepali beaurocracy can be rather challenging (and costly and time consuming and a test of your patience) even for a Nepali, let along a foreigner - Maybe just be prepared to possibly modify your dream - have a plan B or even a plan C😊. In 1985 on my third visit to Nepal I had a similar dream as you and I have to tell you, that dream didn't come true....but..... it did develop into something different that is still benefitting a Pokhara family (and their children and their grandchildren) today, - and as a bonus, I get free accomodation whenever I visit Pokhara. I'm also returning to Nepal in 2 weeks for a 3 month stay so I hope we can meet up for a chat over a cup of Nepali Chia or even a glass or two of village raksi. Jai Nepal 🙏🙏😊😊

Honestly,i suggest you acquirea proper piece of land and make a terrace garden as it's very common. Don't worry about the government they are pretty easy going as long as you give them money. but ,i suggest you actually consult lawyer, surveyer, and experts too . But good luck Hope good for you and make sure its safe from natural disasters and earthquake are frequents. Well,as you said you meant you wanted it in the middle of nowhere but you should get a land which has easy access to services ,has roads water supply, utilities and much more as these things are very hard to get in the upper regions of nepal .

Definately build a home in the mountains, land is cheaper there and you can build a mud a house. Dont even think of buying a 4 by 4 vehicle, it is super expensive in Nepal. :D

I request you not to buy house in Nepal because in old age you will face lot of difficulties due to lack of proper insurance and old age care agencies.It requires an support from political power and high profile people. Here every factor is influenced by politicians 😢😢😢. Banking, hospitals-were you will not have proper counseling may irretate you. YOU CAN BUY BUT NOT FOR PERMANENT LIFE.

If you like I will give you my couple of acre land free of cost for your entire life. Agreement will be stapped by government office. But location is in eastern part of Nepal. The best option for you is to register an agricultural or tourism company and buy the land outright on the name of the company owned by you. That company you can sell in any time along with the land. Dont go for renting. Dont buy expensive land so that you don't suffer of unstability.

Yes it is ironical that many young Nepalis want to leave their beautiful country and many foreigners would like to come to live in Nepal - and it is really difficult and expensive and time consuming for both those wanting to leave Nepal and those wanting to come to Nepal to live. I currently have a friend in Bhaktapur who is desperately trying to come to New Zealand to study and work. She has a placement at a university and is now awaiting her visa. She will come alone and her husband will stay in Nepal and hopefully later get a work visa so he can join her. It is costing them a huge amount of money, which will take many years to pay back. And i have a good Nepali friend who has just obtained a 5 year work permit for New Zealand. His wife and 8 year old son are still back in Nepal and he is very lonely and suffering culture shock. 🙏🙏
