Dan...gold does not rust !~ oh and while you were panning....you were looking around for Bear!
@ryantimmins94795 жыл бұрын
True, Gold doesn't rust but you rarely find 24kt Gold. It is always alloyed with other metals. Electrum is a well known natural alloy of Gold with a high silver content for example. I have found reddish gold like Dan did and I believe it is Gold with a high copper content.

Dan don't worry about the people that think you are only doing it to sell claims. You can please some of the people most of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. You know what you are doing and even if you were going out just to finds claims to sell to others you are working for it. I believe that some of those people that are getting upset are doing so because they are not doing that themselves. So keep up bringing us this really good content, sorry I am not a patreon member because I am just a college student, and good luck on your next video.

@@Danhurd I like it! Did you get it yet? Also, I have finally panned my first ultrafine gold! I simply ground up some old RAM chips and then panned out the powder. (Ground it under water.) Very satisfying and the fine gold stays put in the pan in a way you can't describe or understand when looking at the videos. One has to experience it. So much fun!

Wow Dan the claim certainly does look good. I would love to see what the last owner found on it and would love to know if he's just moving on to bigger and better things or if he's just not finding what he originally bought the claim for. Very nice claim. Seems like there is decent gold there. It's going to be difficult to keep claim jumpers off of it, since it's an easy spot to get to. You might have to put up some very noticeable signs that are very easily seen by all passing by. Also, I think those red/gold flakes might just have high copper content, or they are just stained with iron rust. Either of those are feasible explanations.

Am I wrong but, it looks like every boulder and rock is coated in moss on the bank where you were digging. How can you dig there and not disturb the moss with all the rocks in the area covered in moss. Thank you again for sharing another wonderful video. Love watching and learning from your videos. Hey Dan, what's the name of that guy's guitar channel you flashed on screen? I couldn't read the spelling...is it Klashe? I'm a songwriter, and have my songs here on KZbin, but I also like to buy and sell guitars...so that mention caught my attention. I can't really get out and do what you do (though, I wish I could), but I have a question: I'm in San Francisco, California - where would be the first place you'd go to pan gold if you came here for a short visit? I want to try this panning for gold stuff for myself, but I'm not really sure where to begin! Anyhow, I love the channel and I'm learning a lot. Thanks, and peace. 🐰🎸🎶✌

So what type of permit does one try to get if sleeping on a claim for a summer is the only way to work it with any sort of regularity? And what is the rough cost of a claim in bc that has enough minerals to actually support one person or maybe two, for a season? are payment plans ever possible ? Do you have to be nationalized if one is like myself and not canadian or can you simply work up there on a claim for 6 and a half months to keep it in ones name? How much starter capital would it take to survive the first month or two if the minerals arent immediatly accessable in any quantity? I have read that commercially a claim needs to produce minimum 1 ounce troy of gold per ton. 100 ozt. of silver per ton and id guess from prices of precious metals, and refining ,2 1/2 ozt per ton of platinum and 3/4 ozt. Paladium and rhodium... But if im just trying to keep myself eating and and aquiring needed equipment , what would i be aiming at for a bottom line?

Hi Dan I have a question for you? I live by the north Saskatchewan River right? Well I'm going to start panning for gold this year . Now in the olden days prospectors used to stop here for gold and they did find quite abit . They stopped doing that way back in 1930s they were on there way up to the Klondike. But there's a gold and diamond mine just about ,20-40 kls away from here . It's been going for alot of years now. Well the question I have for you is where would I mine for gold around here . And what kind of ground should I look for ? Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon. My name is Howard
