I just realised there was a glitch in the game... when Joe spent those 5 gems to talk to Rocco, it was meant to be one of the other guys saying they actually fancied you (I got Ibrahim coming up to be when I was coupled up with Bobby), and then you have the option of spending the 5 gems on seeing what they wanted, or to go and talk with your partner on the daybeds. Joe's glitch basically just made him couple up with Rocco again...
