Definitely bring a out going friend or family to a first market, I'm always with my sister cuz she does the talking and then I feel more comfortable talking too

One tip I recommend as a business that does markets all the time is to practice your sales pitch on a friend or family member and have an eye-catching booth! Love your business!! rn im crocheting a cat ear beanie!

I totally recommend doing markets! I love doing markets so much. It's stressful, and I don't always make a TON of money, but I always think it's worth it. Even just to get your name out to more people😊

I think it's worthwhile to try at least once! I've been getting ready to do a mock trial setup outside my home with my table and popup and all my holders, seeing what I'm missing or what would work better, how best to set up and signage, etc. If you've got all the things you've need and it won't put you out more time and energy than it's worth, I think you totally should!

I have never commented on a video before, but since I’m early.. I think you should definitely do the market! I am very shy/introverted and it’s very difficult for me to sell in person and online, but I do regret not looking into markets this summer. It would have helped me branch out and not miss out on any possible sales. And the experience! Thank you so much for your videos!

Yes, do the market. Practice setup ahead of time. Check out other youtubers for what to bring or you will go crazy with stuff you forgot. Love your hair when it is so fluffy. Love, love, love.

Doing a market is a lot of fun but a few tips to do while there is to bring a friend or family member to help, because it can become stressful even when there’s not a lot of people. Another tip is that when doing the market and you want to do more I would get a square, squares in my opinion racks in more people since there are more options to pay, another tip is that you should work on social interaction with someone so you can understand what to do if someone says something you may not know what to say, and don’t forget to have fun because if you don’t have fun while doing the market it will make the experience not as much fun, but I hope you like the tips❤

I sell at markets and absolutely love it! I definitely think you should do it! Also I think it would be super cool if you did a market prep video and a market vlog/ how you did after its over video as well. I also thin k your products would do really well in person and think you would have a great time socializing with people like I do.

Id say scout the markets first thats near you find what fits your vibe, ask other vendors in your area about the attendance. Id say give it a shot your personality is amazing! You’d be surprised how much fun it can be even if its a slow event. Y

I think you should do a market because you get to experience it and also it seems fun. I have seen alot of crocheters doing markets and haveing a good time. I think it would be a good idea plus if you don't like the experience, you don't have to do it again

Really depends on the booth fee in my opinion. If it's super high I might give it a second thought, but honestly markets are some of the most fun things you can do. I would recommend starting prep about a month before the market, and also going to the actual event as a shopper so you can see what people like. I personally love doing markets, craft fairs, etc and you could always just do one to see for yourself how you feel about them

I would say do not do the market. The reason why is as follows: The vendor fees can be down right ridiculous. A lot of vendors I know never make their table fee back. So you pay for gas, supplies, and materials to set up a booth, and put alot of work into making stuff for for a market where odds are you just paid for the privilege to sell at the market and make no profit. You have natural business occuring from posting online and doing things online. So unless you have alot of fans in the area who would want to shop from you personally, you may not get alot of sales. At markets, crocheters tend to be oversaturated. The only reason to do it is for the sake of having new video content where you can make profit from ads. If I were you, I would ask how many other crocheters will be there and if they are selling wearables. I would also ask what you are allowed to sell as many coordinators only allow you to bring things that do not conflict with other vendors. I.e. only 2 crocheters, candlemakers, soap makers, jewelry vendors, clothing vendors, 3d printers, etc. Do your research first. And if you have doubt after that research err on the side of caution. I also want to add, I'm saying this as someone who crochets and does markets all year around. So I know quite a bit about it. The flops will absolutely destroy your soul.

@@nuriyah79 it really depends on what you are selling and if it’s a vetted event. I paid 200 for two days at the mall and it was so worth it for me, but many other vendors only made their table fee back or not even that. I usually do not like to pay more than $25 a day for an event.

Vending opportunities allow for exposure. I think you should do it. Have someone come with you to help. Bring some yarn and such to crochet and enjoy.

This is not a good year for new vendors at markets from what I've gathered, at least that's what I'm seeing and hearing as I try to find ones local to me. It's a big fee to be a vendor usually, you'll need and want insurance to avoid losses from weather, things can and will be stolen even if it's not from your booth you'll hear about it, and those are only the ones I personally am balking from. I hope honestly that your area is better for markets and the community that attends them cause markets can be a way to make a pretty penny fast for the right shops.
