I've discovered living soil and I am hooked!!!!!!! Since I've been playing with tea's and fermenting rice and what have you, I've wanted to see what I am creating. But then again I don't even know what I am looking for (insert your laughter here) I've been watching your videos and find them very interesting. Honestly I'm clueless but learning? I'm looking into buying a microscope so this video came at a great time. Thanks for your time and knowledge you put into the videos. Mind blown every time but then again when I started learning Knf farming it was the same way, mind blown haha Keep doing what your doing!!!

Loved the video! I totally agree about photographing live fungus/EM interactions is the REAL picture. Two anaerobic soil gram - + bacteria I've isolated are definitely symbiotes with a specific fungus and I'm certain that nematodes play a role as well. Does your upcoming courses cover how to run just two soil bacteria with the MinION for identification? Also, what are the levels of accuracy with just two bacteria? * Research and evaluation indicate that YES the MinION is capable of accurately identifying 2 soil bacteria to a accuracy of 99% or greater using the proper methods. Matt's part II of the his trilogy "Regenerative Soil Microscopy" is a MUST have check it out on Kick Starter. Logic and intuition tell me that Part III "Regenerative Soil DNA" will cover how to use the MinION and more...

Missed the end by 10 minutes! The live link went to Tim's email, instead of mine, lol! This bit here at the 20 minute make when you talk about the glowing crystals, stopped my heart for a second, that is what we have seen in the blood too, I told you there is no difference between, soils, plants, or animal. Think I might be being called to help you with your next book. When typing feverishly, as I often do, one of my most frequent type O's is typing soul in stead of soil, I might be on to something, huh?

I’ve been using the scope of a friend in Elaine’s course while he’s traveling. He uses the 10x eyepiece, but that only gets to 400x without the oil, because thats required to go from the 40x to the 100x lens. I noticed his kit included a 25x eyepiece and have been using that. It seems to work well to me with the 4x, 10x, and 40x lens, and gets me to 1000x without oil. Am i missing something?

Yes, I believe it is. As someone who studies 'Holistically' , I am seeing links between the microbiome of the soil, plants, gut and the blood, at a level that 'mainstream' science hasn't taken into consideration before. Excited to be part of this incredible journey we are all on. Looking forward to hearing Matt's latest announcements! Check out Holographic Blood by DR Harvey Bigelsen. I don't see how plants would differ from humans in this respect. A brand new field of research.

Purchased a microscope last fall. Had a lot of fun looking at my vermacompost, compost and leaf mold. I am now looking for a book or manual showing me what I am actually looking at. I know the basics, but want to get into it at another level. I am cautious just getting a book on soil biology, may not give me what I am looking for. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hey Brian - there's NOTHING out there in terms of a manual YET. That's what this new book I've written is for. It also connects you to microbe keys online which are ubiquitously used by universities (and hosted by them quite often), so while I will have identification keys inside the book - you can't have them all in one book as just nematodes themselves have 2-3 million species, so I have a generalized guide that connects to the online keys and soon we'll have a database that we can enter and organize our information (as very quickly we can create an ocean of confusion if we don't organize our pics, vids, and sample dates and types).
