Please don't give up Ivy - we all feel bad when you take a fall but I think falls of one kind or another are just part of growing up and learning to take the bad with the good. I can't begin to tell you how proud we are of you when you succeed and we see you having a clear round and watch you turn your head toward the next jump. You have improved so much in the nearly two years I have been watching you and I can't wait for the next time you have a new video on and I get to watch you. I am 84 years old now and I have had many falls of one sort or another but I just keep chugging along and enjoying each day as it comes. I have to admit that too. I rode western until 13, and took English lessons and started jumping at 14. Never competed, fell off quite a bit, ouch! Trail jumps aren't so high. And I can jump just fine in a western saddle, thanks.😁

No don’t give up! You can do it! I had a time like this a few months ago! I powered through and I am so much better now! You can do it too! You’re amazing! Just try doing a lot more training with the ponies or something. There has to be a solution! I know you can do it Ivy just believe in yourself! Whatever you believe, you can achieve, but if you don’t believe you can, you won’t. Next time you do a show, imagine flying over all the jumps and have a clear round no falls. Oh Ivy. You do have some spectacular falls. It’s all very well everyone encouraging you not to give up but do what YOU want to do Ivy. I would hate to see you force yourself to jump ponies and become unhappy. It’s not your fans taking the falls and getting hurt and sometimes the wind knocked out of them. It is YOU and that’s who must decide to keep going. It’s YOU who must want to fly ponies over fences. I can only say to you that you will get bigger and stronger and manage the pony better but it will still happen that you will sometimes fall off. It happens to us all. Even when we get better staying on it will still happen sometimes. It just does. So you have to decide if you want to sit and watch others ride their ponies while you play with Barbie Dolls or if you want to be the one who flies that pony. Your subscribers will love you regardless. And indeed so will Mum and Dad. Whatever you do is ok, alright? Everything will work out whatever you decide to do. Follow your heart Ivy. If show jumping is what you love then that’s what you should do. There will be wins and there will be losses. In life, losses are what teach us to keep going. There has to be challenges so that we will try harder and learn from our mistakes. You are such a natural especially with Ace. Personally the reason I started watching your videos was because you and Ace just seemed to fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle and you just flowed over the jumps and around the arena so easily. Eventually with your and your mom’s guidance all of your mounts will flow over the jumps as well. Never under any circumstances give up on "anything". If you take on a task, you did it for good reason and made a commitment. A commitment is something made to one's self, even if it's given to another. Riding a hunter/jumper is the greatest form of personal training for adulthood. All of the disciplines necessary for success later in life are undertaken one at a time while learning to be an jumper rider. One of the best scholars of the sport is from the 60's / 70's. An American name is Rodney Jenkins (The Red Man). One of the things Rod would teach you is to "ride through the wreck". Meaning, don't come off just because of a wreck. Stay in the middle if the horse goes down. This will instill confidence in you and the horse. And ... know this ... "everybody wrecks". The riders who wreck and come back are the people who will succeed in life. That's "YOU" Ivy.
