Not all shelters are bad either. Especially no kill shelters. I volunteer in one and we always work hard to make sure the cats go to amazing homes. We always look into their homes and their backgrounds with animals. Shelters definitely aren't a forever home but we care about every animal in there as if they're our own.

When Sakura is meowing it's an affection thing. If a cat emphasizes the 'ow' in the meow it means they're worried or in distress but when they emphasizes the 'me' it's a sign that they are happy and content. I have a cat who talks all the time like this. He was found as a stray cat, but like her, its so obvious that at some point someone loved him and cared for him. He was pretty insecure at first and for years thanked me after every meal... every meal when he was done he would give me kisses (he actually smooches). Its been about 11 years since I got him, he's 12 and the one thing that has never changed is the constant meowing. He meows at me unless I am sitting/laying down and we are snuggling. Otherwise its; "sit down, snuggle!" We've been talking to each other for so long now, that when I tell him "shh, be quiet" he will actually whisper out is meow or just mouth it. Its so funny.

joey you should wait until they're 12-14 weeks before letting them go to new homes, here in ireland rescues wont let people adopt kittens until they are fully vaccinated and sometimes spayed/neutered, so it's best for them to stay with their family until they're older

The 'meow' mimics the tone and pitch of the human voice. Some cats will meow just when they want something. Other cats will hold a running conversation as they wander around, as if to say, "Hello, human! I just wanted to let you know that I'm here. And now I'm going over there... Er, nope, no, changed my mind, now I'm going to go sit on the couch." Sounds like Sakura is just a very talkative cat. @@aliciale3979 that's not how that goes is he properly socialized the cat with the dogs than there will be very little to no problems. We raised or great dane with 2 cats no issues we introduced or mini aussie to the cats no issues. Over all the dogs wouldn't be an issue :)

Sakura is so vocal becasue she’s ready for round 2. When cats are ready for round 2 they meow a lot and want a lott of cuddles. Hope this helped! Ty for the likes!

Thats not the reason. Heres why: 1. Sakura just has a meowing personality. Not all cats are vocal, but some are. Its how they communicate with humans. We make noise at each other so it logically goes that if they make noise at us they’re communicating. 2. Your cat can meow even without being in heat, I have a desexed vocal vocal VOCAL female cat 3. A cat in heat’s meow is a deeper gruffer howl. With a lot more “w”s. Something like: Mrroowwwwrroowwroo But yeah, the meowing is just her personality

She is most likely in heat again and most female cats go into heat 6-8 weeks after they give birth. Joey needs to have her spayed. I hope you do keep at least one and keep introducing the dogs so eventually you can have them all around each other. They will set their own boundaries. I love to watch the introductions and the sooner the better. Mama will take a lot longer than the kittens because if they start going being around the dogs then they adapt. So please keep us informed and do everyday.

Amen. 14 weeks is safe. At 8 weeks it's hard for them when they are removed from mum, and as adult cats they still retain baby behaviours like suckling a blanket. It's sad. First jabs are at 9 weeks and should be done by the breeder/owner.

in a perfect world I would LOVE for you to keep Gemini. But it will take a lot of work with your dogs. I think you should do a lot of trial with the dogs but if you notice it's going poorly and they dont seen to be warming up to cats you have to make the difficult but ultimately right decision to give her up.

Storm already went after Sag. Lark tried to go after Sakura through the backpack in the testing out cat products video. Daniel literally explained why they can't keep any of them because they have huskies. 4. Huskies that have a high prey drive. He even said he could see it in their eyes when they see smaller animals. Unless he wants his cat being torn to shreds, I'd say no.

I agree with Alex, I know you and Gemini have bonded I could see it from the beginning. I just don't see the dogs sharing the house with a cat and she can't stay holed up in the bedroom for the rest of her life. I'm not sure Joey you have doggies :/ I know they are gentle but Gemini and Sakura might be really scared of them and Storm might not understand he cant eat the cats lol. Also you could foster more pregnant cats or dogs having litters in the future. Not saying it's a bad idea to keep them but just keep in mind your doggies and the animals happiness and your future and all that as well as cats do live up to twenty years sometimes longer, it's a big commitment especially with other animals to care for :) I know if you keep any of the kitties you will take such good care of them and go to measures to keep them safe. Also keep up these vlogs I love them so much, honestly the highlight of my days I can't wait till you post. ❤❤❤

Don't take this personally,I love how you've been caring for Sakura and the kittens but if you want to keep one then you have to take every measure to introduce and make sure one of the dogs doesnt attack them, because a incident could happen where when you aren't paying attention one of the Huskies could slip in and something bad could happen same if one of the kittens leaves the room, personally I would add a baby gate as it keeps my fat English bulldog away from my elderly cat

You can teach a husky not to chase cats, you can teach herding dogs not to chase and nip people or livestock, you can teach retrievers not to kill birds etc You can teach any dog to control their natural impulses, it's all dependent on the person doing it and the methods they're using. You can even do it super quickly depending on the equipment you're willing to use, lol.

He’s fostering Sakura and the kittens not keeping them. He brought Sakura home to have a safe place to birth and then the kittens can go to trusted homes so at least he gave her that. He may have said that he wanted to keep her but I doubt he will like think about it, he has 4 other dogs and would probs stress Sakura and them and they’d have to try to get them along. Daniel is also allergic to cats so as much as he wants to keep em he has to still respect that. As much as I want him to keep Sakura as well it will be sad to see her go and I’m sure Joey will be bc u can tell he really cares for her.

Honestly Joey, here's one thing I can tell you. Keeping at least one of the kittens actually is gunna have some happiness and fun during quarentine. (Sorry for giving out some personal info about me--everytime I foster kittens I always got to keep one. They helped me during my sad times, and fighting. but also my parents always has to give them away or they just run away.) One of them that I think you should keep is Gemini also, since she has a close bond with you, and always stays by You.

So, I actually don't currently have a cat, but I have a super vocal dog, who likes to lecture me. If I ever take my other dog somewhere, and leave him at home, he gives me the biggest barking/howling lecture about how I made a big mistake when I get back. It's adorable and annoying at the same time, lol. So, based on that, I imagine Sakura is lecturing him about leaving her alone in there with the kittens most of the day...

Hi Joey! My cat is super vocal as well and reminds me a lot of Sakura, personality-wise. She's a two year old female and will meow nonstop if all attention is not on her. Sometimes she'll be perfectly quiet but if I pick up the phone to talk to someone, she starts meowing at me like "um excuse me I'm the only one you can talk to around here". It used to drive me crazy because I thought she was trying to tell me something but nope, she's just a chatty cathy! Love the kitten vlogs, don't know how you'll ever say goodbye to them!
