I have that exact mailbox. I got mine second hand and it was a bit ratty. I sprayed it matt black and filled it with real dried florals. It looks cute hanging on my front door, in my entry and in my office. It moves around my house.

If the mailbox is for resale, then I'd check how much you could sell for as a new item in the box. If it doesn't sell for much, then I'd paint it because it would probably sell for more as a unique piece.
